The Haymaker is looking at a top 10 fighter in November. Who will it be? Alexander Dimitrenko, Sultan Ibragimov, Hasim Rahman or another? Does he hve the tools to compete at Heaveyweight?

Rahman was the rumour....
Rahman is slightly dangerous but pass it, he's most likely.

When blabber mouth Haye eventually does fight there will be two Klitschko world champs, what then for superfly Haye? Vitali would murder him, even Haye knows that.

i would like to see Haye-Sultan. both are with GB. damn, id give Haye major props if they can get that fight made. Sultan is legit top 6 guy.
Chambers, Tony Thompson, Arreola, Brewster would be very good choices.
Golota, Rahman, Briggs would be decent.

The two names I've heard mentioned are Rahman, fighting Toney in October and Haye would crap it against Toney if he wins, and good journyman Monte Barrett. Haye says he WILL fight a top ten fighter in November. Why he can't fight Skelton next month only Haye knows; as it is, Maccaranelli will be fighting again before him - ludicrous! Chris Arreola, let's him fight that guy, oh no he might punch back.

some wont agree but i think skelton is an ideal opponent. what he lacks on skill he more than makes up for in heart and durability, skelton is slow and ponderous but a really tough guy, he would give haye a good workout and may even beat him!!!!

The trouble with Skeleton is that his fights stink the place out. Haye may get dragged into a boring fight and that's the last thing he needs.
Personally I think Haye will go for a more known name to caught general public interest. A fighter like Rahman has associations with past British Heavies. As does Oliver McCall...
Someone of that ilk... those fighters ring a bell with the more casual boxing fans...

Dimitrenko could be an eliminator in his 2nd fight. he is in top 3 with WBO and IBF, wlads 2 belts.

Sultan would be pretty decent but I would be expecting a faded American or hopefully Travis Walker in a pure banger fight.

He will look for a name that is still dangerous but probably not at his best. Rahman fits the bill perfectly but he has Toney to deal with first and that is not a foregone conclusion.
It wont be Rahman but I think it should be.
Barrett - yeah, okay. If he hadn't have iced Fields the other week, I'm sure this choice of opponent would have drawn a lot of crtisism. High risk fight for Haye if you ask me.
Toney - as above with Rahman really. Can't see this one happening. Toney would rather engineer another title shot after Rahman should he win.
It won't be one of the Eastern European fighters either. I'm sure his opponent will be a big name American. Haye will probably be looking to fight someone who has fought a British heavy in the past (McCall / Rahman).
I would like to have seen him on the domestic level against Harrison or Skelton but I can understand if he doesn't want to go there.
It will probably be Barrett depending on the outcome of Rahman - Toney.

Haye is trying hard to create "Tysonesque" hype but won't fight anybody...? Tyson had fight after fight before he got to Berbick, most of them against far lesser opponents than Skelton, but Haye thinks he's too good to fight Skelton? lol! Haye is acting like a total muppet, that's the truth.

You say he won't fight anybody :huh when clearly he has stated all along (after the Enzo fight) that he will be fighting towards the end of the year.

Haye's the one talking all the nonsense, not me. Talking and doing nothing. He's frightened of Matt Skelton FFS, what kind of badass is he? Wlad fights and wins, Haye just lies on a sun lounger.

Not just Haye is frightened of Skelton !
Wlad, Vitali, Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, Ali, Holmes, Spinks and even Herbie Hide are shit scared of Skelton. Thats why they have either retired or avoid the great Skelton.

It doesn't matter who Haye fights, you haters will still find some sort of reason to criticise Haye. Even if he did fight Skelton I bet you guys will come out will something like he promised to fight a top 10 and then he fights Skelton.

yeah, but the point is if Haye is the real deal then Skelton is a stepping stone. A top ten fight is not reasonable for Haye right now, the Virchis's, Povetkin's etc are not on his radar. He will have to fight a lesser opponent in November, i.e someone who has a few losses on their record.

Bullshit. So Setanta or whoever decide who Haye fights:nut And they decide who is top ten and who isn't? Don't think so. In any event Skelton will be a top ten fighter on a list somewhere, so that rules that out.

when the deal announced the terms were that haye had to fight a top ten opponent. if you do a search you might be able to dig out the links.
i guess they go by the the top ten rankings for the big 4. skelton isn't in any.
and finally, given that we know haye isn't fighting until november and claims to only want to fight for 2 years after that, whats the point of him fighting skeltons who has proven himself to be nothing more than a domestic level fighter?

Skelton aquitted himself well enough against Chagaev to fully justify a fight with Haye, and I'm sure his contract would take a fight with Skelton, his paymasters would happily sanction any contest.
