Fitz had a number of exotic wild animals as pets.
Roy Jones owns dogs and a ungodly amount of roosters/chickens. Or did at least.

Jack Dempsey also owned a cat. There's a video on You Tube where he says he liked cats better than dogs, and that makes sense because pound 4 pound cats are better fighters one on one than are dogs, who are basically pack animals. If you say that a doberman, rottweiler or pit bull can kill a housecat, then I'll tell you that a big cat, be it a lion, tiger, jaguar, leopard, or puma would DESTROY any big dog and then eat him. I'm a dog fan too, but cats are the ultimate killer carnivores, and can use their front paws like the way a boxer uses his fists. They're natural fighters and killing is second nature to them.

Back in the 70's, during his first tenure as champion, George Foreman owned and took for walks both tigers and lions.

Well if people spent generations tampering with pumas to turn them into the ultimate dogo killing machines then dogos wouLdn't stand a chance. All things being equal, cats own dogs all day and all night.

A cat, unless the dog is much bigger, can really mess up a dog. They can use their front paws like a boxer, they have so much flexibility, it's like they've all been trained in some special gym somewhere to fight. The dog has basically his jaws and not nearly as much variety with their paws. My cat, when you put your palm on his head (easier sadi than done) will bob and weave his head to get out from under it, and will lash out with both front paws. He's thinks he's a badass.

Gerald McClellan is/was indeed a sick man to do those kind of things to dogs.
A lot of the great fighters have severe mental problems..."normal" people dont become greats in the ring imo. The true killer instinct of the best fighters is something that is not appreciated anywhere else in society which is why a lot of these fighters fall apart when their fighting days are over.
