he is disliked person - perceived by many as a conceited big head who alot of people would take pleasure in seeing come unstuck - myself included

he is a good fighter - talented - very quick - very accurate - very prideful - ambitous - wants to succeed badly - but has a dodgy defense and a bit of a glass chin - basically this guy will keep winning cos he is talented - until somebody can really expose them flaws -and when he eventually loses it is going to be in a violent knockout fashion

I'd say the general public still love him but boxing fans are getting tired of the level of opposition.

has anyone read his book because in there he dosen't seem big headed, in fact hes portraid as very polite and the rest of it. but on here alot of people think hes big headed? just wondering why.
anyway i think he will become a world champion hes very talented but he has some big flaws which may be able to be fixed. chin is suspect but to be honest i dont think its too bad.
oh and NEEDS to get rid of frank ******.

Personally I quite like him. He doesn't come across as a particularly bad character to me.

His level of opposition so far is frustrating. His chin is a little suspect - but he has obvious talent. I think he can pick up a world title no doubt. Whether he can go on to be something more is hard to tell until we see him against better quality opponents.

I think he is beyond delusional.

Yeah, but were are talking about a forum where playing darts is a hanging offence.....;)

Hanging? Fuck that

Under my proposed regime for the forum (which I havn't forget about by the way - elections will be announced in due course) I will bring back burning at the stake, HD+Q. All that.

I think people on here are overly critical of him. He's still learning the game but has looked sensational at times. He does have flaws to work on but is a very good prospect.

I have been almost disuaded out of liking him because of these boards but I'm not there yet - although it probably won't take much more.

On the world stage, I think he'd win some, lose some and his real test will come with his first loss. I actually really think Khan would benefit greatly from having someone beat him opposed to fighting 5-6 fights against no hopers.

How about "Vote for Caring Facism" as a campaign slogan?

How about "Vote for Caring Facism" as a campaign slogan?
I don't want to get off on the wrong foot, and deceive the public like many other politicians, by pretending I'm caring. I think they'll respect my honesty...

I'll set out my manifesto, and anybody that doesn't like it, or isn't one of my favoured posters suffers immensely

The vast majority of people think he's amazing.
Though that will not be reflected very accurately on these boards as the cross section of society is different.

He's sensationally talented and if he can shore up his defensive skills, will become a wolrd champ.

I'm winding you up. But he did "call us out", rambled a bit, and generally made a cock of himself

I think he exposed himself as a hypocrit, rather than just stupid, which is always worse. At least you know what you are getting with the stupid ones, they are consistent

Decebel likes to project certain e-personas depending on his period.

(other than pavlik huggers obviously)It's a bit like going to America for your holidays. It's good for a while, but the humour isn't the same. There's no subtlety to the way they throw the abuse around. When things get "lively" on the British forum, it's at least done with a certain British dignity.

I don't get all the Khan bashing.
Obvioulsly hes made some complete dumbass comments eg. "1.5% body fat", "I can beat Pacquaio" and "world class fighters like Michael Gomez" spring to mind but the dudes only 21.
Hes already a fantastic fighter at this young age and he can go very far IMO.

I'm more pissed of at ****** for not giving him a lightweight to fight.

Yes Khan is certainly a prospect but he needs to be fully tested by a ranked opponent who boxes in the correct weight division. Frank is certainly milking this particular cash cow for all it is worth. Maybe Frank knows something we don't about Khan....could he have a glass jaw?? :D

LiamE
07-18-2008, 02:28 AM
What do I think of Khan? Seems to be very good offensively, suspect chin. Needs to step up the class a bit and fight men his own size who can bang a bit before we'll know whether he is the real deal.

Will probably win a title or 2 but I suspect his chin will stop him from being elite, though that might well improve as he fills out.

DamonD
07-18-2008, 07:23 AM
I like him, though he has said some silly things occasionally I put that down to the fact he's still a kid. Generally I think he's got his head screwed on straight and is a 'good bloke'.

In-ring, I think he's got almost all the tools to be a champ but the chin (and the defence to cover it) remains a worry. He's got very fast hands and has matured with the way he throws shots; he used to be a bit scattergun, now he picks them better. His power is fairly good and will continue to get better and better as he gets older and stronger.

I've also been consistantly irritated by this silly rush to beat Hamad's record as Britain's youngest champ. I'm so glad that's due to expire very soon, because I think it's been a detriment to his development.

What I'd like to see him do is spend a year, year-and-a-half fighting at the UK and Euro level. That extra time seasoning would be invaluable for his career. His offense is fine, it's his defence and experience at pro level that needs to be worked on.

Overall, I'd say I'm a Khan backer.

most of the criticism against khan arises from his own bravado he makes comments like ''I'd beat Manny pacquio'' and ''there not on my level'' he hasnt fought nobody so far to warrant that kind of trash talk
