well according to ******s website, they'll be keeping khan active, so he'll be having 5 or 6 fights over the next 12 months.

:nono it will be the WBU title.

Good point. I forgot that it was the WBU that exist purely so that ****** can claim his pampered pugilists are stepping it up.

Yes, he'll be the world standard in china chinned hype jobs, that's a championship in his own. Plus, he's always his parents lil' champ, their special little china chinned boy.

He is getting more and more like Audley, he needs to eat some humble pie and get some grafting done instead of doing all these interviews, we wouldn't want him to come out with "oh well the reason i got knocked out, ya know what i mean, was because i did so many interviews, ya know what i mean, and my jaw muscles were tired so thats why half my teeth are missing and i can't remember my name"

World champ at what? 'cos it sure as hell won't be boxing

He'll probably win the wbu belt, but thats about as hard as winning the wwe belt.

he probably knows something we don't know. 3-4 tin cans then a fight against WBA champ Rees.....a guy he might just have the measure of, especially if it's a fix.

****** has another year with him and it won't be happening.

Khan needs to shut up or he'll lose credibility like Audley did. Mainstream fans believe this shit. I always get ask about it and have to say that he is chatting shit.

Before the Khan-Limond fight I was telling everyone who could listen that his chin is more suspect than Michael Jackson in a playground with his rubber glove. Nobody really knew except for us that follow boxing, it just shows the hype train really works.

The man is not fraudley - he has too much power and handspeed to be compared to old Aud. I also suspect his chin is not quite as bad as is being made out (still not exactly holyfield's, obviously). He certainly has more resolve than Audley.

On pure skills, heart (talking about wanting the Kindelan rematch) and handspeed, I'm sure he could be very top tier. But the chin will probably, but not definitely, let him down.

He's only 20. His beard will improve over the next couple of years.

Its more likely he'll be KTFO'd in 5 fights:lol:

Thaxton held that belt before he become Lonsdale champ.

I think ******s already had the talk about him facing Rees next year.

i cant really see rees holding onto the belt

He needs to take Barry McGuigan's advice and get himself over to the USA for some serious training with a proper world class coach. In the UK we only have three top trainers, Enzo Calzaghe,Brendan Ingle, and Billy Graham, and Khan isn't with them. Even if he were, it'd still be a good idea to go to America for top quality and varied sparring

khan could be a world champ in 1 fight if ****** wants it. :yep

I bet he challenges for the WBA light welterweight world champion within 5 fights.

How long does Rees have before he has to defend his title. Mind you Rees can probably get away with facing a bum as his first defence.

Khan could improbably do this, and thus stay good to his word IF he beats Rees (a big IF). He would have his world title before he is 21, have a genuine strap, WBA, and then run like the wind from Hatton, Malignaggi etc...

WBF Interim Intercontinental Lightweight champion if the current holder decides to stay at Strwweight for the time being and let Khan pass by.

compared to limond i dont think rees is'nt much of a threat, the only thing rees may have against khan is his TKO % but that TKO % doesnt mean much when you have not stopped decent opponents in your professional career.

jc

Rees just dominateds a world champion at lightwelterweight. he must be considered a favourite if he fought Khan at lightweight. he may not have 1 punch KO power, but either does Limond. At this stage i think id pick Rees over Khan.

I dont think this is the world title he is talking about though, the W.B.U is clearly the main target.

Exactly, no doubt Rees would KTFO Khan with the swarming and volume, hell, Limond almost did and Limond is less powerful.

I dont think the WBA would sanction another joke(Rees-Khan) to happen at 140. i think they have used up all there jokes for that title atleast for this year...:D

Is it really that impossible, look at the state of the champions:

David Diaz WBC - poor or shot super feather Morales

Juan Diaz - very good but not a brutal puncher by any means - slower and smaller than Khan and Khan would have a shot

Gav Rees 140lb WBA - very beatable

Tores 140lb WBO - very beatable

Malignaggi IBF 140 - good but wouldn't stand a shot of ko'ing khan who may be able to outwork or outmuscle the metrosexual

The Kurgan

He'll probably win the wbu belt, but thats about as hard as winning the wwe belt.

Don't be such a disrespectful dick. It takes a lot of athleticism to "compete" for the WWE belt.

The Kurgan

Malignaggi IBF 140 - good but wouldn't stand a shot of ko'ing khan who may be able to outwork or outmuscle the metrosexual

I'd say Malignaggi hits harder than Willie Limond. He has a higher KO percentage against better opponents. Malignaggi certainly stands a shot at knocking Khan out.

Thaxton held that belt before he become Lonsdale champ.

In other words, he held an irrelevant pissy little nothing belt (ok, all the alphabet belts are worthless wastes of time) and then won a title worthy of recognition: the Lonsdale belt.

in my mind he's not really world champion, he's got a paper strap if thats good enough then fine but it shouldn't be and it doesn't sit well with me.

I suppose we'll be calling Haye, the heavyweight champion of the world when he defeats Nicko, we complain about the title being diluted and these alphabet soup ABC's, but then we endorce and recognise them.

If he hadn't been ******'s cash cow he wouldnt have had
a) The priviledge of being trained by Freddie Roach or
b) A world title shot lined up 2 fights after an embarassing loss to a nobody.
