I think Randy isnt big enough to have any chance to control Fedor which is suicide. I think If Fedor ever takes a loss in the next few years it will be from a big punch from a much bigger person....

Randy is bigger than Fedor. Lindland had some success locking up Fedor with upper body locks. Randy is larger than Lindland and the master of the upper body lock.
Do not count Randy Couture out of a fight with Fedor.

Never can count Couture out of anything especially if he gets a takedown it wont take but a couple Couture elbows to open up Fedors paper thin skin. That being said I expect Fedor to win not sure how he wins though.

This fight interested me immediately after Couture-Gonzaga, now, not so much.
It was a long time ago and Gonzaga still had the post-crocop KO glow to him that made him look alot better than he really was making Randys win seem more impressive.

Randy is not biger then Fedor, Same size at best.....but Randy isn't a stationary target like Tim is so I hope the Ole boy can get out of the way. Randy is getting old but he has still has enough to give a good fight. But I have a hard time seeing him beating Fedor at this point.

But I have a hard time seeing him beating Fedor at this point.He's definitely taller than Fedor, but Fedor has a little more around the middle, so yeah, I'd say they're just about the same size.
I'd love to see them fight and I guarantee Randy won't fold like Sylvia just did.

it is hard to count randy out but after tonights showing it's hard to say anybody at hw can take fedor...even with fighting subpar competition he still seems to be at his best right now....he was VERY impressive tonight

Personally i cant see the point in this fight. Randy came back did the unthinkable and despite having 2 solid wins in reality they were nothing more than that. His not the 2nd best heavy in the world and we all know what the result will be. Due to litigation the fight has taken aeons to make and even if it does happen Randy will be suffering from inactivity and father time. This fight has really gone off the boil for me.
I'm sorry to Randy I love him and all, but Fedor GnPs Randy out if not he GnPs him bad enough for Fedor to sneak in a sub and its over. If Randy keeps it on their feet this fight might, just might last until the second round.

I agree and 5 years ago still would pick fedor.. Im guessing it be a fit to shut up the haters..

I wouldnt say inactivity will bother him the guy still trains every day with good fighters.
I don't think Randy would do all that well against fedor. I could see it being just as one sided as this fight was, especially in a ring.

Very true but I suppose if anybody can be 46 and still win the fight vs father time its Randy Couture. He eats clean and doesnt have any bad habits and still continues to train daily keeping himself in shape year round. Couture even at 45 looked better then ever last year so I dont expect to much of a dropoff in a year but maybe after 2008 it probablly would thats why ive said before if the fight aint made this year I do not wanna see it. Ill just accept that Fedor-Couture wasnt meant to happen.
Well compare both fighters stand up and striking Fedor. Wrestling even Submissions Fedor. I would give fedor the edge he is quicker. I would rate the wrestling as even because they are both basically Greco roman and Linlhand got thrown when he locked up with fedor

He won't be fighting Father time, he'll be fighting Fedor. The truth is that Fedor is just an awful matchup for him and much better. Couture got disgustingly overrated after beating Sylvia, but look what Nog and Fedor just did to Sylvia. Randy is still the guy that got KO'd by Liddell twice....only older now. The Gonzaga victory is a bit overrated as well, since Gonzaga is overrated. Can you imagine what Fedor would do to Gonzaga :yikes
I say Randy needs to seek a rematch with Barnett, fight Arlovski or give Nog the fight just to prove he is the next in line for Fedor.

Randy Couture is a huge underdog against a fighter that is considered much better...
I've never heard this script before...
