How is Bennie Briscoe doing?

My dad was a huge Briscoe fan in the early '70s, he asked me, since I'm a boxing nut as well, if there's something on the Internet boxing websites about him, how is he doing?, is he financially OK?.....whatever....you never see him at Hall of Fame inductions, signing autographs and stuff....he virtually disappeared...anybody knows?

I read about a celebration they had in philly recently for him where they gave him a statue of himself.He looked to be doing good.seemed healthy and doing pretty good
