Hey fellas and Amy,
how do you dry out the sweat inside the glove?
Around the forearm/wrist bit, where I'm touching it a lot, it gets a bit damp, what can I do about that, if anything?
They are quality original Grant gloves so I like to take care of them.
Also with the leather, I put vaseline on them every 2 weeks or so, keep from cracking, anything else with glove care I should know?

I have two three pairs of gloves. The two 18 oz I wear during normal training sessions. After each training session I put the wet set outside to dry for 24 hours. The quicker they dry the longer they last.
I put a little sock full of baking soda down in the fingers when I take them off. It's dries them out and keeps them from stinking.
Take them out of your bag when you get home and open them up as mush as you can for a few hours. If you can, put them outside to air out.

I live in a very humid area, will that ruin the leather?

Hmm, I wouldn't think so. But they'll never dry if you put them outside in the humidity. Do you have a blow dryer? It may be worth it to get a cheap one and blow them out for a couple of minutes before you put the baking soda sock in there.

Will pass it along. :yep
Yes, we're going to the Ringside tournament, along with another boxer from our gym. Should be good. I think we all have a good chance at it this year. Kolya is on track and looking good in the gym, so I have high hopes for him this tournament.

Good, hopefully no more sub-par performances from the big lad.
What does the Ringside tournament constitute, nationals? regionals? I don't know how your crazy system goes.
Is this PAL rather than Golden Gloves?

It doesn't count towards a ranking because they allow international competitors. It's just a huge tournament.

You're an ass pirate. And I'll have you know, I stopped my sparring partner (the other guy going to Ringside) in the second round of sparring today with a body shot.

That's not very nice. :-( I wonder if he'll get off his fat ass and run now. :think
