I will bet you £500 that he is of a certain variety - and has below a certain % KO ratio

I thought it might of been one of those south african super-featherweights who swapped around the IBF belt over the last two years, like Klassen or Fana.

I think its time to step away from whats in the Commonwealth pool, he is passed that stage now surely.

It will be a unification fight for the WBA inter-alphabetty title - similar to the one that Hatton had with Lauri

In other Khan news:

Commonwealth lightweight champion Amir Khan is poised to announce his training plans this week.

Khan has been linked to a number of leading American coaches following his split with Oliver Harrison earlier this year.

The 21-year-old was trained by Sports Network match maker Dean Powell for his win over Michael Gomez in June in Birmingham.

And while the pair get on well together, Khan has hinted that he will look to the States for his next cornerman.

He spent some time in the USA last week, talking to prospective trainers.

Among those who have been mentioned are Freddie Roach, Buddy McGirt and Roger Mayweather.

And he is expected to reveal who he will be working with this week.

Khan, unbeaten in 18 fights, is due to appear at the MEN Arena, Manchester, on September 6.

Promoter Frank ****** is believed to be close to naming an opponent for the 2004 Olympic silver medallist

No chance

I would bet every penny that it won't be Murray. For the following reasons:

1. Murray can punch
2. Neither ****** or Big Mick allow their fighters to appear on other shows

And a statement from ****** on Buncey's show last week said that Murray won't be Khan's next opponent.

Didn't hear that!

Don't forget, Khan is above European level now.

I always thought that inter-alphabetty level was below domestic, never mind European.

I must be stupid.

Somebody posted a few weeks back that he'd been talking to Gavin Rees and that he was gonna be Khan's next opponent.

Anybody heard anything similar?

on boxrec few guys are saying its an argentinian fighter an ex hatton victim so to say, he fits the bill for your typical khan opponent 12kos in 40 fights and he held the IBO at some stage of his career if its him then rawling and co have got something to work with come fight night.
