in the early stages of his career, he was not as thick set as he was in the later parts of his career. i don't want to start a debate on whether he was on steroids or not. lewis was gentically blessed so he could probably easily put on a lot of natural mass without roids

How can you not like a panama hat?

Ving Rhames approves.
yes but if a skinny white guy dressed like that i don't think anyone would approve, apart from maybe the white and green shoes which look prett cool.

Lennox was always big.
He debuted at 233 and fluctuated +/- 10 pounds from that (more or less) his entire career.
I think he just filled out.

No bias creeping in there.
I DON'T WANT TO DEBATE IT.
OBVIOUSLY HE NEVER USED STEROIDS.

The Steward era Lewis had thicker legs...apart from that he always looked pretty similar, muscle wise.
I remember when he weighed in at 248 for Butler, quite a few critics were clucking about how overweight he was and how he was just another lazy heavyweight chucking away their career.

Lennox Lewis was a rake when he fought Frank Bruno
Compared to the podgy guy that fought Oliver McCall in their rematch
Probaly age and filling out - why would Lewis use roids?

Most heavyweights fill out and get heavier as they get older. It's not exclusive to Lewis...

I watched alot of varying footage of him recently and it's absolutely ridiculous how thick and muscular he was later in his career. If he was on steroids it would not shock me in the least bit. The guy was a fucking building at the end there. Just massively built and muscled.

I think he took roids, and my best guess is so did most of his opponents, so it's all fair. All part of the game.
anyway, if this thread is NOT about debating whether he took steroids then it's just a gay place to worship his thick muscular body, so I'm outta here .........

Yup. It's called getting older.
I've put on 25 pounds of mainly muscle in 10 years. Am I on roids? Hell no. I just got older.

Let me know when you look like a brick shithouse with bodybuilding proportions.
I mean, it's not like Lennox Lewis had millions of dollars on the line every time he stepped into the ring for 30 some odd minutes.
The worlds just over fuckin' FLOWING with men who wouldn't stick a needle in their arms or pop a pill for a few weeks at a time for millions of dollar paydays every few months!

Yup. Spot on.
It amazes me that people can't tell a manufactured physique from a more realistic normal one.

I think most fighters are using roids or some other performance enhancing drug whether it was Lewis or Tyson or someone else, its the money as you say and also a belief that you can't compete without them. Schwarzeneger admitted using them but he is in the minority when it comes to people being honest about this. It is a bigger taboo than being gay and I wonder if we will have a rash of people coming out of the closet, so to speak in years to come.
I have always pointed the finger at Naratilova, not because of her sexuality, but because she was an east european with a masculine physique at a time when east europeans were going wild with the roids, any comments on that?

People don't know that steroids don't just help your muscles. they help the body recover a lot quicker to punishment and enhance fitness and all types of strength

Mhm, steroids are almost NEEDED in high stakes sports here injuries are common and absolute need to be healed almost super humanly quickly.
Is there really any doubt what so ever why so many MMA's use them?

In the ESPN magazine back in '04 I believe, Tommy Morrison dished on pretty much the entire heavyweight division saying that you pretty much needed to juice as everyone in the division was using. He goes more in depth but it has been some time since I read the article. Morrison pulls no punches including admitting that he himself took the stuff just to be able to compete with the rest.

Negative, good sirs! Look mate, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Lennox juiced up - we're all pretty certain a good number of heavyweights were (still are) on the HGH and Roids etc etc. It's just that I'm not sold on the fact that Lewis is one of them.

Take into account though, that Morrison used that frame of mind to justify using them. "I used them, but they also did!" is the first thing a steroid user says. After "i used them to recover from an injury" or "someone put them in my drink!" didn't work, of course. I'm not saying it's not happening, but i would hardly consider the fact that Morrison said so proves that everyone's on them. Remember what the first thing was Evan Fields said after he was caught? "I'm not using them, but that guy Tyson, rumor has it he did!".

The thing is, is that, Tyson was at his most devastating when he was least bulked up.

someone post the picture of tyson and lewis together in the catskills.
Tyson at 16 was roughly the same size as he was through most of career
Lewis was phenonimally skinny.
not really true tyson after prison had bulked up alot, and lewis only get to be a monster by his very late 20's early 30's
