could this happen.
Would surley just be for the WBO Title now though.

It's mentioned in the article it was Sugar ray Leonard.

I am sure that this fight is made so much bigger by having the WBO 'world' title on the line......

Leonard and Lalonde - Donny was LHW belt holder and the SMW title had just been created. Leonard got Lalonde to agree to fight at 168 which he was drained at and won both titles in the same fight.

Both Ring Belts Could be. WBO Super M/W is the top belt and super mid, it might not be at other weights but it is at Super Mid cos JC is number 1 and has been for 7 years+

Calzaghe is still WBA champion, no?

Technically he is - but the WBA SMW is a paper championship at present, IMO.

Kessler is the "regular" WBA paper champ, whereas JC is still officially the WBA "super" champ.
It would be cool to see this fight at 168, though that would only decrease Jones' chances, imo.

Jones says if Joe puts up the WBO, he's willling to put up one of his chickens and a copy of his rap album.

In that case it looks like Jones has got the shitty end of the deal :deal
I don't understand this. How can they be fighting at two weights at one time? Are they going to start off at 175, fight 6 rounds and then go back into the dressing room and jerk off in the sauna before coming out for the 6 remaining rounds (presuming RJJ lasts that long)?

As far as I am aware as long as both fighters are within the weight limit of the lower weight then they can fight for titles from straw all the way up to and including cruiser, but not heavyweight (WBO regs) so long as they are within the straw limit. Of course the fight would have to be sanctioned by the relevant authority. Despite Jones claim in the article they would only have to weigh in the once.
