Nice info Jeff. Speaks volumes. He just does not want the fight. Why? He could get hit on the chin, and when he gets hit on the chin he looks like a pissed Scotsman trying to regain his footing.
You got a way with words Terry.
A hilarious yet accurate description.:D

Nothing against the Scottish mind. Was going to add that when a pissed Scotsman gets off the floor the best thing you can do is run like feck as they are mental by that point. Unlike Khan, he just slings arm punches safe in the knowledge that the ref will jump in.
The Gomez knockdown reminded me of Bruce Lee's final roundhouse kick on the bad guy in 'Enter the Dragon' it took the guy, well the dummy, right out of shot. When the left landed I was like "Where the fook is Amir? Oh, on the floor, again."
I was a big Amir fan but his 2007/2008 has been a 'mare. PR disaster after PR disaster. At this point you have to think that his next fight contract states 'At no point in the contest am I to be hit on the chin'.
Better add the body in there as well; Gomez had him doubled over at one point after a shot downstairs.

Murray has had a few shit performances lately, I agree.
To be honest, the Meager fight was only the third fight in which I have been impressed with him.
As Buncey said - it would be great for a little 135lb triangular tournament between Thaxton, Khan and Murray to decide who is king of British lightweight boxing.
Murray has been made to look a bit better than he is by Meager, that was a perfect styles matchup for him with a guy that will go to war and not think about defence. He was bigger, the harder hitter, and the quicker more accurate puncher.
Having said all that, I give him a serious chance against Khan. Two reasons, his chin has looked good so far and Khan isn't a one punch KO artist. He'll pressure Khan where he's uncomfortable, and inevitably land shots through his bad defence.
Not suprised Khan wants none of it.

I would love to see Khan vs Murray but I can not ever see it happening. Khan has not got the balls to fight a good puncher.

I'd be very suprised if Khan was genuinely scared of Murray. He just isn't making the right business decisions - end of.

because Murray is a Hennessey fighter.
So Is Meager, Hennessey lets his ego get In the way and they end up losing their payday fights against Khan.

You think he deserves credit for losing guys like Thaxton a payday against Khan?
Hennessey wanted Khan to fight Thaxton on his show but he should of known Khan was exclusively contracted to ITV and Frank so that wasn't possible.:-(
Hennessey should put his guys on other promoters shows If he wants them to become big enough and get exposure.
