I thought Margo was going to lose by wide UD going on rds 1-5, but he stuck to his guns and just wore Cotto down.

You could tell his body shots were taking their toll on Cotto, then those 3 uppercuts in round 7 changed the complexion of the fight.

Margo is one tough hombre, he took Cotto's best shots and never took a backwards step.

Im a little stunned but not shocked, I knew Magarito was hard as but jesus christ the man can take a punch.

I think Cotto can and will come back from this but probably not the same. In every long fight he has been in, he takes a little rest because he must not be one of those fighters who has natural stamina. Tony gave him no quarter and was so bloody relentless.

I have said several times before this fight that Cotto will be stopped before he retires but I didnt think it would be today and was hoping it would not be to be honest. I thought cause he could be hurt and get tired he might lose like that late in his career but at the peak of his powers his skills got trumped by an animal of a fighter today.

Great fight, Margarito has one of the best chins in the sport and his conditioning was great. He may not have the boxing skills of Cotto but he is one tough bastard. Cant wait to see whats next for both guys.

Wow Margo always was one of my favourite international fighters, but geez he showed things i couldnt believe he had to beat my fav fighter Cotto.
His heart & chin are amazing.

Great fight, and one I can't believe that Cotto lost, especially after seeing the first 6 rounds. It's not as if marg really changed his plan either, he just kept doing his thing.

Yep, Marg's stocks have certainly gone up in my book, and Cotto's have fallen a bit too. I still reckon theres a few out there that'll do Marg, but I'm happy for him and hope he gets some big money fights.

Forget Hatton, he should call out DLH.
