Nope, but I bet its one of those 'laddish' type stories where he got drunk & pulled his pants down & mooned at some passers by who turned out to be Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles or something outrageous like that, & in the morning him & his working class mates had a laugh about it in the local greasy spoon whilst munching on bacon butties over a big pot of sugary tea or something like that.
You gotta love Ricky, hes just one of the lads!
I bet he forgot to mention the private jets & rented mansions in that 'Nuts' interview...

Look at some of Rickys quotes here....
"When the house I am staying at in Vegas is shown on TV in a few weeks, some people will say 'Look at Charlie big bollocks' But its not like that. I am fighting at the top & I must prepare right.
"Fames never been high on my agenda, of course it does come with it, but when I started i did not dream of becoming famous"
So 'preparing right' is private jets & fancy houses?
Sorry Ricky, but you cannot be one of the lads & live a jetset lifestyle at the same time.

It was :
He pulled some girl in a club and she told him to get some condoms, so he goes the toilets and to the machine. When he get back to the girls he realises he'd bought mints instead. So the girl tells him to go the garage and he lends her dressing gown and slippers and runs down the garage, where gets the condoms, because he was so pissed he forgot where the house was and had to get a taxi wearing the girls dressing gown and slippers. I laughed anyway.
And nope nout about jets etc, just his darts team

You haters are so bitter it is untrue. Let me tell you why he is indeed "one of the lads". He still has the same friends he had when he was growing up. He still goes to his local pub and plays on the pub darts team with his same mates. He still goes on holiday with these same mates.
He still lives in Hyde and only 2 minutes from where he grew up.
You can go on about hiring a mansion in Vegas all you want...big deal. Outside of fight time he lives where he has always done, he associates with the exact same people he has always done, he goes out to the same places and if he is ever in the big clubs he is never in a VIP room, he is just out with his mates and is a friendly and approachable lad.
Criticise him for his record or his performances fine, but the irrational hatred of something that happens to be true ie he is pretty unchanged by wealth and fame....

So the 'You out Sucka' argument of him being scottish & thats why he doesnt like Hatton argument simply doesnt stand up:nono
& I dont like Hatton, cos hes a fake & threw a sombrero onto a prone Arthur when Gomez beat him. Its utterly personal with me, I hate him cos of what he did to Arthur. Fuck Castillo, my dream fight would be Witter whupping Hattons ass. Witter was always the real deal, & Hatton has ruined his career. Even though Witter is a legit champ now, he still lives in Hattons shadow despite pleading for a fight with Hatton for years & being snubbed, cos Hatton didnt have the bottle to face a top class boxer like Witter.
So please, dont say I simply dont like Hatton cos hes an englander, cos its deeper than that. In fact, you insult me saying my Hatton hatred is as shallow as a simple Scotland v England argument.

Well of course it is. You've contradicted yourself and admitted as such because (you claim) Hatton threw his hat at Arthur, who is a Scottish fighter you support to the hilt. Would you have been in such uproar had Hatton tossed his hat at a Bulgarian Gomez victim? Erm....no.
Furthermore, I'm very sceptical about these claims anyway. I certainly never heard anyone else mention them, nor did I see anything that night. I'm sure Ricky did 'threw his hat in the ring' at the dramatic conclusion of the fight, and maybe it DID land somewhere near Arthur, but this is completely different from what you, and you alone claim.

High Dunky mate. Long time I was lookking forward to chatting with you and Top Dog and all my scottish mates after Ajose Olusegun's comprehensive win over Gary Reid. However the website lost those threads. Shame.
Boy you really dislike Hatton don't you. I think the problem with Hatton fans is that they are not very objective. That is not to say Hatton is not good but his record is a bit suspect I think. He or his management both Sports Network in the past and his current management have avoided Junior Witter. Style wise I think Witter could do him though Witter looks to be slipping as well.

hello Olu. nice to talk to you again. Yeah, the threads going missing were a shame indeed. & to answer your question, yes I cannot stand Ricky Hatton! & the reasons are many. Avoiding Witter is high on my list of 'reasons to hate Hatton';)
However, what I dont like is the Hatton fans saying 'the scots dont like him' cos I dont?:huh Im not the official voice of Scottish people on here. I just have my own opinions, & everyone can think what they like.
Hatton fans are almost as full of shit as Ricky himself!
Anyway, enough about me, lets talk about Olusegun. You say he would be an honorary scotsman in my eyes if Ajose beat Hatton? No way.
He would be the ULTIMATE scotsman if he beat hatton, & Ajose be up there with William Wallace in my eyes if he beat Ricky, & put an end to all the undeserved Hatton hype. & I int kidding!
Trouble with Hatton is though, he doesnt fight prospects. He prefers to fight ageing once great fighters who are in decline & useless belt holders like Maussa & Urango to seal his legacy, if he ran from Witter all of these years hes certainly not going to go anywhere near Olusegun.
I really hope Im wrong though & if Hatton wins they give your boy a shot, cos I would pick Olusegun to beat Hatton. I think you & I know, Hatton is there for the taking. Anyone who gets their head boxed off by Collazo & nearly gets KO'd by him & wins a dodgy decision cos hes HBO's cash cow 'white boy' isnt the monster his fans make him out to be.

Collazo did not box Hattons head off, he had the better of the later rounds and outboxed Hatton in a few of them. Collazo and Urango are actually both young "prospects" that you say he never fights, Urango was unbeaten and a title holder. We have no idea how "useless" they both are yet, Collazo losing to Mosley hardly proves anything seeing as Sugar Shane is a fucking brilliant fighter.

WHAT? He said "twice"? What an arrogant cunt. He should have sat down and thought carefully about the figure he picked out to say how much harder it was for Rooney. Only a total twat would dare use the well known phrase "twice as much"....
And he did not say he was a national hero even once. Not once. He said he thinks he has become popular because people can relate to him and see that he is not into celebrity and is just like anyone else.

Collazo and Urango are actually both young "prospects" that you say he never fights, Urango was unbeaten and a title holder. We have no idea how "useless" they both are yet, Collazo losing to Mosley hardly proves anything seeing as Sugar Shane is a fucking brilliant fighter.
Lets see how Collazo does in his next few bouts and Urango before saying they are both useless.
As I said before, you Hatton fans are a fragile bunch. Instead of defending your boy, you lash out at anyone who dares criticise him. So what if I said Harrison would beat Guzman? Whats that got to do with the argument?
As for your 'take' on the hatton Collazo fight Strike, I find it as laughable as your take on the first Harrison-Medina fight. Of course you will have people proclaiming you to be right, cos Im the big bad scotsman & you are the heroic english Hatton fan, & we all know how this forum operates.
Attacking me about Harrison just cos I dont like Ricky? poor show. Although I shouldnt be surprised, cos as I said before, Hatton fans are more fragile than your average boxing fan & lose all control of their senses when you dare question Rickys so called 'greatness'
I suppose I can forgive you thoughfor your nastiness, cos you Hatton nuthuggers must be going through pre-fight nerves, just like your idol.
You know, when it comes to rating Collazo, people forget just how many people do actually think he is a serious talent. The fact Shane Mosley gave him a chance says a fucking lot. In the hype for that fight, Mosley was all praise for Collazo, and there was a fair bit of talk about this being another Mosley/Wright fight.
I think Collazo proved himself. He is a good fighter. He'd beat a lot of fighters currently at 147lbs.
Just on the defending hatton thingy now, honestly, I get in so many arguments about him, but I'm not even that big a fan of his. He scrapes my 10 favourite fighters at the moment. However, I get into so many of those petty arguments because his haters are so fucking biased. He is EASILY the most disrespected fighter on this forum.
You always get a fucking load of posts about him. he hasn't beaten anyone, he hugs, Tszyu was old, Castillo is shot - It's fucking pathetic.
Maybe Strike and others don't feel the same way I do about it, I dunno.
And Arthur is a fucking cunt. I hope you can back what you said about Hatton up, Dunky. Have you got any proof? That will make him a clear favourite of mine :D Arthur is going nowhere though, and I love it.

& I dont like Hatton, cos hes a fake & threw a sombrero onto a prone Arthur when Gomez beat him. Its utterly personal with me, I hate him cos of what he did to Arthur. He disrespected Arthur AND Scotland that night.
Or when he threw his gumshield at Witter after the Hutchison fight
In fairness I like Hatton as a fighter, and hope he wins everytime regardless of what i think of him.

hello Olu. nice to talk to you again.
Damn I know I sound nasty, but Hatton brings the bad side in me:lol:
Well Dunky mate I agree that Hatton avoiding Witter is despicable. I am not sure whether it was Hatton avoiding Witter or Hatton's management however you get the distinct impression that someone did not really fancy it. My only beef with Hatton is that for all his fights I have not seen him genuinely defeat another young gifted fighter at their peak. You suspect they have chosen Castillo because he is a name fighter past his best. However I might be wrong but I think they miscalculated as Castillo might do him in tonight.
Ajose and I watched Ndou and Malignaggi yesterday and Ajose is adamant he would take care of all the world champions at Light Welterweight including Hatton and Witter when the opportunity comes.
Certainly I don't believe Hatton won the fight against Collazo and Collazo is not exactly what I would call a great fighter or highly skilled. Furthermore I was not impressed with Hatton's performances against Maussa and Urango.
Hatton fans even think he can beat PBF but deep down Hatton does not crave this contest otherwise he would not have asked £13 million when he has never earned a purse anywhere near that high. That is a ploy to say I don't want it so let me price myself out.

one of hatton's better moments.

if witter beats harris, let's get it on.
witter was boxing euro bums for years.
he's finally stepped up a bit and won some worthwhile fights.

If Hatton get to fight Ajose Olusegun I promise we will bring your hearts desire and inflict a serious defeat on him. If this happens I expect you guys to make Ajose and I honorary Scots.well olu whoever you are, how you doing mate this is the first time i've had a bit banter with you.really though what do you and my mate dunky base your opinion on as regarding olusegun beating hatton? i must admit i don't know much about the guy other than he's beat a couple of average british pugs as well as some from the continent.so as a result of my ignorance i decided to consult his record on the dreaded boxrec.(it has it's uses)and what did i find?the combined stats of his last 5 opponents as follows.
total fights 125. wins 62. defeats 67. draws 5.combined knockouts 19.
now don't get me wrong here statistics can lie,and some fighters can be sleepers who are also avoided, but on what basis do you and dunky come to the conclusion that this man can beat hatton? especially that he's had to go the distance with gary reid someone who hatton would dispose of inside 3 rounds and that they're obviously avoiding punchers like the plague.comments please.

He said something about his fame becoming nationwide. Despite abandoning us for American, to fight at 3 am on some obsure Irish channel! When he said twice, I actually think he thought he was exagerating a bit to be humble.

Please make the fight and we would happily come to Manchester and take it. If Ricky and you think this is the same proposition as fighting a 35 year old Kostya Tyzu or Castillo perhaps on the slide then you are mistake. Fight a live and dangerous contender like Ajose and then let us find out who is a great fighter.

I think you are missing the point mate. Before I start nice to talk to you. Ajose Olusegun is a Light Welterweight who has been avoided like the plague because he has the 3 proverbial curses like Marvin Hagler had in the late 1970's that being he is good, he is black and he is a southpaw. This former world class amateur won several international amateur medals such as the All African Games Gold medal and represented Nigeria in the Sydney Olympics.
As a professional he has had to take many fights at very late notice and still defeat his opponents in style. Furthermore he has had to take many fights against men in higher weight divisions and beat them. He is Light Welterweight who has regularly beaten and stopped Welterweights and Junior Middleweights and in some cases Middleweights. When Sports Network called him up to fight Bradley Pryce at the last minute they thought they were calling up an African opponent for Pryce to kick around well as you know Pryce got humiliated in his hometown.
He knocked out Ali Nuumbembee the current Welterweight Commonwealth champion and with his victory over Gary Reid the other week can claim to be the Commonwealth champion at 3 weight divisions from Light Welterweight to Light Middleweight.
He won the African Boxing Union title against Victor Kpadenue who went the distance subsequentl with the hard hitting British Middleweight Gary Lockett.
All the top Light Welterweight in the UK have been avoiding him. Colin Lynes and Ted Bami pull out of bouts with him, Junior Witter vacated the Commonwealth title rather than face Ajose who was his mandatory. Mick Hennessy made it clear on the pages of boxing news that he had no interesting in putting Lenny Daws in with him for the Commonwealth title. The top welterweights in Britain are not keen either.
I guess he has been viewed as high risk low reward however now he is about to enter the WBC top 10 ratings in the division and adding the Commonwealth title to his African belt this might change with him been backed by Sky Sports and Frank Maloney. This is a world class fighter ready, willing and able to fight and beat the very best. Don't forget he did some of these guys as an amateur.
Ajose is not avoiding punches or anybody rather he is prepared to take on all comers especially the best. Please quote me on this "If you are a Light Welterweight I don't care who you are Ajose Olusegun will beat you period".
As for Ricky I like him for his crowd pleasing style but he needs to fight the younger fighters like himself at their peak or approaching it such as PBF, Cotto, Witter, Magarito and Ajose. Witter and Ajose are based in the UK so there is no excuse. Remember Nigel Benn fought Chris Eubank to establish his legend and Hatton needs to take similar risks to ensure true greatness.
We are prepared to do our bit which will probably mean becoming the WBC mandatory and forcing Witter's hand. We are ready are Hatton and Witter?

Olu I like you and I respect that you come on here to fight your guys corner with people who are going to disagree with you and knock your guy. Ajose needs a world class victory before i'd give him any chance at all Vs witter or Hatton.... put him in with Collazo or Urango and make a point then people might start thinking.. surely those fights won't be that hard to make.

We will take any of these guys tomorrow or Witter and Hatton period. The question is would they? God knows that we have offered. If you don't call Frank Maloney hence we might need to become the mandatory contender. When we became the Commonwealth mandatory Witter chose to give up the title.

No offence, but your hypocritical post made me laugh.
You go on about us UK'ers sticking together, but you were the same guy who made a 'congratulations Ali Nuumbembe' thread when the african fighter beat a fighter from the UK, called Kevin Anderson.
So please, before you call UK posters who dont agree with your good self 'Cynical bastards' you should remember the old saying "people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones":deal
Theres another saying - you dont shit on your own doorstep. And as I currently do bits for VIP promotions (and Ali) then I'd be pretty stupid not to have congratulated the Glossop based UK adoptee. Ive also met Ali and found him to be a nice guy, really nice guy. Couple that with the fact he was told before the fight that if he lost he was getting packed off back home, lets just say there was quite a bit riding on it. As for glass houses and stones - well u dont like Hatton for being a disrespectul cunt, and yet your fav (ex) fighter is disrespectful to the point of lamping innocent people.
