Well, as they are both hugely popular, both are also from PR, usually they are being compared in some aspects of their game.

That being said, who's got the meaner left hook?

Tito has long left hook which is really his bread and butter punch. Cotto can take his to the body with devastating effect.

I guess it's still tito as it has saved him a lot of times and has spelled doom for a lot of guys. a tito left hook ended the reign of maurice blocker, started Vargas' dilemma, took out william joppy, lastly, it took away daivd reid's lead on the cards.

Tito. Hatton's left hook is almost as good as Cotto's.

Trinidad could drastically change the momentum of the fight with one shot, and his best punch was the left hook upstairs.

Tito had a good left hook to the body too, but Cotto is more consistent with it to the body, and ultimately does more damage.

The Pubes of Tito Trinidad are more powerful than Cotto's left hook.
I think you're being too nice to Cotto there.

tito for now we will have to see how cotto fares in his next few fights and whether or not the hook is the deciding factor in his fights .... remember tito ended an awful lot of fights with his hook

cotto can't hold tito's jockstrap

People say that because of some vunerabilities that Cotto has shown but at this point of his career Tito had not been that great either. His most notable wins were against Carr, a very faded smaller Camacho, and Campas. He had been down twice and he himself looked to show some vunerabilities.

I downloaded a few Tito fights.. Vargas, Whitaker, Joppy, Campos.. the left hook was Tito's money punch, I dont think Cotto has the one punch power Tito had in that punch.

Awsome video. They should have left the DLh fight out of it though. All they could post was some pictures of him missing some punches and then the gift at the end because they would have never found a video clip of him landing anything effective on Oscar

Obviously you did not watch the last 4 rounds of the fight, Tito landed some great shots but not in abundance because Oscar was on his bike.

Here's round 9. That one os the last 4. Fell fre to watch and let me know where you see Tito land anything meaningful. I think I saw one right hand the whole round that was not either blocked or rolled away from

i like cotto's left hook to the body, but tito's left hook was just nasty. he destroyed people with it, and they were'nt the same afterwards. ask campas, pendleton, reid, vargas, joppy, mayorga. the one that dropped vargas in the first round sounded like a gunshot.

Tito, i'd rather take ten of cotto's then one of Tito's, enough said.

Still Tito, but Cotto's hook to the body is getting progressively nastier.

EASILY Tito....is this even a valid comparison?

almost?.....better imo.

tito's left hook may not be as powerful as we think rember the hand raps. when he changed them for the B-hop fight it had nothing so i'll go with cotto

Where's it at, and how come you posting only round 9 instead of all the last four (confusing), and I go off of what I see not of what Jim Lampley say's lands, many shots throughout the fight were not called, on the other hand whatever Oscar through he landed in the eye's of Lampley which was simply not true.

My bad I didn't post it.

Seriously though watch this round with the sound off. IMO it disproves the theory that Oscar lost the last 4 rounds. He did run a lot in this round but there is absolutly no question that he landed more than Tito

Next time I go out to buy a weapon I will buy handwraps so I can punch like concrete, no need for brass knuckles.

P.S I have boxed for ten years, I can tell you that handwraps don't make you punch harder no matter how you wrap your hands.I've been saying this for years...If wrapping is all people needed to knock out opponents...everybody would be doing it.:good

Tito has a legendary left hook. Cotto has a great hook that he's still developing, but it definately has legendary potential. Cotto has a lot of time left to master the left hook. I watch the guy and it fucking amazes me that he's only 26.

Trinidad, by far.

Cotto, however has some of the best mechanics in history.

If Trinidad had Cotto's mechanics, he would have literally won some fights by decapitation
