View Full Version : If Pacman were American he would be ranked P4P #1...
and there is no way the Mayweather Jr would be considered P4P #1 if he were not American given his fighting style.

Pacman holds a most recent loss on his record. While Mayweather has been in the top 10 of the P4P lists since 2001. I hate Mayweather as much as the next man but this thread is retarded.

Floyd have ugly style and unimpressive wins but he is unbeaten, fighting in
much more weight classes than Pacman and he is one or two good wins ahead.
Pac have no chance to find someone as Oscar in his weight class.

Its your kind of argument thats the problem about p4p, cause it doesnt matter that your havent lost its about the opposition that youve faced, and floyds opposition in the last three years is very questionable~

I beg to differ.
Look back at Pac's recent outings, nobody thought Solis had a chance, and the next 3 opponents of Pac's were coming off a loss before fighting Pac.
His last really "good" quality win was against Barrerra in 03.
You could make some of the same arguments against Floyd, but Floyd has never lost a fight, Pac has, so it's easier to forgive Floyd.

but pbf loves to run and play hide and seek.. on the other hand, pac opponents are kneeling in front of him while pbf's majority wins are hohuum due to 100 meter dash :smoke

Style is not relevant to ranking. And PBF isn't running when he outlands his opponents.

i beg to disagree... pbf wins are due to 100-meter dash and questionable opponents. but pacs kind of win is utmost destruction. that is kneeling in front of him :good floyd was due to a combination of marathon, a 100 meter dash, and hide and seek :good
Good point, this is why B-Hop should be number 1
How can you seriously put BHop ahead with 2 losses to Taylor on his record in recent times?

As said style doesn't give you p4p status. I remeber seeing your name pop up on a worst poster thread, and I am begining to realise why. PAC NUTHUGGER!

If this is your criteria, then Rafael Marquez still rates ahead of Pacman IMO.

Why are you hating on Hopkins? Every time I try to big up him, someone's gotta rain on my parade by mentioning the Taylor fights. Those were two close fights, against a prime, undefeated, fighter. Hopkins never shys from a challenge. It's expected that he might take an L, given his style and the subjective nature of the sport. This is why so many fighters are afraid to challenge themselves. People like you want to kill them for losing. Even if the loss was due to a close decision, in what is a very subjective, inconsistent scoring system.

do you think that kind of winning warrants pound per pound status? :patsch:patsch. pac fans are not nuthuggers. we have the bragging rights to prove it!! i can give you pictures of how pac manhandles his opponent. that is kneeling in front of him. not some stupid posters here that thinks holding will put you into atg :lol::lol::good

I agree with your assessment on why fighters are afraid to challenge themselves. But that doesn't change the fact that he has 2 recent losses where as PBF has none. And while people talk about PBF's competition...I don't see how Cotto beating Judah gets him ranked P4P (He was barely ranked prior, but that win put him in some people's top 5) but for PBF he is considered part of a string of nobodies.

go ahead.. this is a free internet. not chinese site. be free to use your imagination. you have your opinion, i have mine. but one thing is for sure, if you prefer a combination of marathon, 100 meter dash and hide and seek than a fighter riskig his life and blowing away his opponents, then may the boxing gods have mercy on your soul :yep:yep

fact is pbf aint got a lost and his record against elite fighter is much better and his reumes is to . pac notable fight are morales 1 loss 2 wins ,barrera, marquez draw, solis was undeated solid win, larrios soilid win, agapito sanchez wich was actually a very tought fight for him was a draw . l
pbf has foughten DLH,baldo, judah, mitchel, castillo twice, corrales, genaro hernandez. of course the last five years havent been creme del creme but his record is still better and corrales, dlh, judah, hernadez, castillo, baldo is better then berarra ko,morales 1loss 2 ko and marquez draw

Pac should destroy JMM rather easily this time around. JMM isnt the same fighter he used to be. I dont even see JMM making it past Barrios in his upcoming fight.

Irregardless of NATIONALITY or FIGHTING STYLE . . . the guy is 6 divisional champ and still undefeated.
The question is . . . could have he gotten the same opportunities if he is not an American? The promoter will be playing a very big hand on this. :yep

I would put Hopkins in second place. First, to me, is definitely Floyd, but Hopkins can come in second and there's no shame in that.
If Floyd continues to fight and win, I wouldn't take away his top spot.

Pac is an offensive machine with a sturdy chin but he can be outboxed. To be PFP you would have to be a complete fighter.
