Yeah like Floyd Mayweather runs. Come on now, the aussie lads footwork and left hand just weren't up to scratch, he wasn't fluid enough and he got outboxed plain and simple. When i saw Fletcher in an interview before the games he said 'one punch' can change everything in boxing. In the amateur game you're there to score points, not be a tough guy. That's the problem with the aussie scene, too many 'tough' guys and not enough skill.

Yeah i was replying to the other guy. Mistakes happen and amateur scoring can be dodgy but it was irrelevant in this case.

Just watched the replay and if anyone was unlucky it was the cuban, he was the one who landed the bodyshot hence the point, at the same time Fletcher pushed his head down so he was on his knees and the referee decided to give him an 8 count (not that it means or counts for anything anyway).

An 8 count doesn't give you any points, the only advantage it can give you in am boxing is maybe a psychological advantage.

Not in the amateurs it doesn't. Fletcher had a rough draw and that score was not at all indicative of how good he actually is. He was outboxed a bit by the Cuban but they didn't give Fletcher credit for shit.

I watched the fight last night. The Cuban got a big lead through the first two rounds then seemed to be content with just trying to keep that lead. Fletcher just seemed a little slower and was beaten to the punch too many times.
