i've been to dusseldorf for the Chagaev Skelton fight last january..
The prices are very reasonable. for € 50-, euros i had a good seat. But next time i'll go there i buy the cheapest tickets of € 20-,. cause you can walk around the stadium and have a great view while standing and walking.... Hotel prices are reasonable too.
but one thing, the atmosphere is extremely dull adn that is an understatement. I hope some danish fans will travel over to create some atmosphere. at the Chagaev Skelton fight there were about 30 lads from England, they were singing while the germans were irritating about them, that was fun.
btw where did you read the fight was in dusseldorf? boxrec has berlin as the site

The huge crowds in Germany are extremely impressive, compare with US Boxing crowds.

I always buy the cheapest ticketes. As you correctyl pointed out you can walk around the arena and have a great view while standing and have a beer. You can also sit down whereever you want to as most of the seats are not occupied as long as the main event hasnt started.
You are also right in saying that usually there is no special atmonsphere in a German fight arena.

The truth hurts doesn't it.
I am not a coward, I will stay and fight for my freedom unlike the people of Nazi Germany. I do not bow down to Bush and his fellow Nazi fascists.

Actually i think its quite expensive when you want to see big fights (the few we have). Last year klitschko-brewster for the best seats available was around 800euro each. Compared to the US i think this ist not really cheap.

Tickets are much cheaper in Germany than in Britain or Denmark. Of course the Klitschko fights are much more expensive than a Chagaev or Sturm fight. But if you compare it to the "big" fights abroad (Haye-Macca or Hatton-bum, ...), the tickets are much cheaper.

You are absolutely right in saying that tickets are cheaper in Germany than in GB or some other countries. Cant even remember anymore when I had to spend more than 40 on a ticket for a fight show in Germany!

Austria was founded by Friedrich I. Barbarossa by giving a part of Bavaria to the noble family Babenberger in 1156. Bavaria never was a part of Austria, Bavaria was a part of the different Germsn states since it was conquered by Karl the Great.
Poland wasn´t once Germany - not counting the WWs - but it got devided in three parts between Prussia, Russia and Austria-Hungary in 1795.
