Thanks. Unbelievable upset. Imagine being Hagler and having to digest it. But Leonard did just enough to at least plausibly squeak past Hagler, and, for this, Hagler, who had Leonard to himself to crush for 12 long rounds, can only look to himself.

Hagler certainly took the defeat hard, far harder than most fighters and he seems to have had a lot of emotional turmoil in his life which just added fuel to an already raging fire.
I felt bad for him when I read about his personal life at the time. Everything that seemed so great a few weeks back had fallen apart.

AT least Hagler was true to his word and never fought again. I have always been grateful for that.
