I know Tyson has had his personal issues, but it does not take away from the fact that he accomplished a great deal in his career. He had an excellent trainer in Cus. I believe Tyson is very knowledgable. Does anyone believe with his background, he could mold a fighter into a champion?
As long as his fighters don't bite ears.

I don't think anybody can take away his vast knoweldge in boxing. However, in order to be a good trainer, one has to be mentally stable.

I think he can... Hes crazy, but lets face he has plenty of championship experience, you dont become world champ without learning a thing or two!

I think he would be a good assistant to a trainer, but trainer - no.

I dunno, most fighters with successful pro careers that end up in Canastota don't end up being good trainers.

I think he could be a good trainer for someone like Sam Peter. I dont believe he could train someone to box. I think he could train someone to be a monster in the ring like himself.

He is practically a boxing historian, doesn't he have a big mortion of Caytons fight collection?
If he can keep his head on straight then he can definitely be a good trainer. He has a great knowledge and knows what it takes to win. It really does depend on whether or not he doesnt have a total mental clusterfuck though. Hed probably be better as an assistant in all fairness.

No, too unstable.
training might be the stability he needs and may even prove some kind of cathartic release for him if he could successfully train and keep a young champion on the righteous path......i think with his knowledge and skill he could do it..

I think he has the knowledge to become a secondary or assistant trainer and with the fight people his presence could be beneficial. My only concern would be his long term commitment to the job; getting up early every day for 6 weeks and who knows for how many fights is a bit of a stretch for Mike.

No, the man is too unstable and unrealiable and you never know what he's going to do. He'd miss more training days than the fighters themselves.
The man can barely control himself. I wouldn’t trust him looking after my dog for a day (that is, if I had a dog:hey ). “Does anybody know where Mike is?” I think this would be the most common sentence in the gym. But he could perhaps be the assistant’s assistant.

he definitely has knowledge of what it takes just look at how he trained in his early days he was insane and no one trained like he did but mike lacks the passion he once had and i dont think he would have the patience to train a guy for 6 months at this point of his life let alone produce a champion fighter
