Olympics - boxers that stand out

Bantamweight Akhil Kumar from India looks like an amateur Naz clone and got a good win over Sergey Vodopyanov today.

Oleskandr Usyk and Lomanchenko from the Ukraine also look good. Usyk showed superb speed in his opening win over some fat chinese chap.

Demetrius Andrade of the USA also looks classy.

I remember seeing a 20 year old Cuban LWW, who looked awesome in his second match. It was his birthday, and the Chinese sang happy birthday music after the fight. He was fighting a decent looking Morrocan, but he busted him up with hurtful body shots (hook shots and uppercuts). First time in this Olympics that I have seen the judges score so heavily for bodyshots, but in fairness they were both obvious and hurtful. Don't know he can get the gold though, because that division seems pretty stacked.

That was Driss Moussaid from Morocco he beat, who had looked really good in his first match against an Australian I think it was.

camarelle i feel is too upright he is a tank but looks very unsteady on his feet.

price can be a good amatuer but i think he will flounder if he turns pro.

The Brits have been very unlucky with the draw, getting Cubans in the first round or two. Billy Joe Saunders could have easily reached the final and lost to the Cuban then, which would have raised his profile to Amir Khan proportions, but as he got the Cuban in round two..........
