Is there any?? Last I seem to remember hearing was he'd had an operation and was just getting over that. That seemed ages ago though.

When's he next due to fight?? and is Hennessey going to ITV??

Is it me or has Froch seemed to have the slowest moving career in history!

I disagree, I think there's been nothing wrong with the pace of Froch's career...

...at least up to this last year, where all this cancelled and 'false alarm' fights have really hurt his momentum. I think it's a damn shame and hope something gets sorted out soon.

What happened to Froch v Pascal?

It is a shame Taylor ducked him in favour of a fight with the shot Jeff Lacy, though Frochy would have been an outsider the task wouldn't have been beyond him.

To be fair, an offer of $1.25m was hardly likely to entice the American - Sky or Setanta should have got behind him to make the fight happen.

Not particularly having a go, I'm a Froch fan it's just things have conspired against him a bit. He has past the 30 mark but has been in no real wars so he's still pretty fresh, I just hope something gets sorted and he gets up in the mix, he's good enough to go in with anybody.

I think he has been managed pretty poorly to say the least. Some of his own personal choices have been a bit iffy though - waiting around for a European title shot for six months which wasn't forthcoming wasn't the best of ideas.

I am a fan as well, but the guy needs to get his skates on otherwise it will all pass him by.

Froch vs Pascal should happen this year for the vascant WBC title. I think Hennasey is just waiting for his ITV deal to be finalised.

This often happens when fighters become mandatory / close to mandatory

I guess he's been biding his time because he is in line for a shot, from memory the WBC ordered him and Pascal for the belt

He should keep busy though, even just tune ups, or he'll be rusty when he finally gets his chance

He had a cruciate ligament injury too didn't he, last year?

Just had a peek around and they reckon November vs Pascal... details still to be confirmed. Possibly on the undercard of Lacy / Taylor which would make sense

I like Froch and hope he gets his title crack and that it is against Pascal who is no test like he will hopefully face in the likes of Taylor and Kessler.

I don't think an odd 8 rounder would do him any harm - depending on when the fight is it may have been good to get him on a decent GBP card, with the tie up between Fat Mick and GBP.

The exposure would have done him good IMO.

Froch has ability and power

he is dangerous

I always felt Calzghe didnt fancy it - the same way Hatton avoided Witter - to a lesse degree = its just not worth the risk to reward ratio.

can beat up on a peter manfredo for the same money and same number of fans packed in the millenium why fight a dark horse like Froch?

Calzaghe said Froch was very very very poor against Robin Reid.

What the fuck is Calzaghe on about?

Talk about being too eager to discredit someone.

Froch just took care of what was in front of him

there was no rush and he stream rolled over Reid in the end inside 5 rounds

what Froch really needs is a personality transplant

he is a cold cold cold human being with a streak of a murderer in him

he needs to have a heart placed inside him so he can develop some warmth as a human being

zero emotion and zero human touch in Carl Froch

thats why he will never warm to the British public because there is no connection to robot like personailty of Froch and the Public

I could just imagine Froch running around somewhere like Meadowhall with a machette just destoying everybody with that sadistic look that he pulls sometimes.

man imagine this month. its looking likley

Nov 1st - Froch vs Pascal (Vacant WBC Title)
Nov 8th - Calzaghe vs Jones Jnr (RING LH/W)
Nov 15th - Haye vs Top 10 H/W
Nov 22nd - Hatton vs Mallignaggi (IBF LW/W Title)
Nov 29th - Jennings vs Williams (WBO W/W Title)

Manny Pac and Antonio Margorito are set to fight that Month, also Lacy vs Taylor and Klitschko vs Povetkin. I would imagine ****** would put Khan on the same night as Jennings vs Williams FOR ppv. what a month.

@Robpalmer - yep, bring on November ! Last few weeks have been soooo boring, thank christ for the Olympics

To be fair to Taylor he didn't duck Froch to fight Lacy, HBO made the choice for him. Lacy is still a 'name' in the USA whereas Froch isn't.

good lineup. is jennings-williams that likely though or is it just FW hyperbole? shit that will create a huge personal dilemma between my ******-hating and boxing-loving personalities if its ppv.

to be so ruthless and have such a murdering streak in him - probaly makes him a dangerous fighter and help him to destroy opponnets

but I certainlty would not want to socilaise with this man over a pint - its like playing with fire - he might stab you

It saddens me, because Lacy is no more than a club fighter now. I have seen his last fight and it had draw written all over it, against some no mark chump.

Jennings is the mando for Williams, which is hardly surprising given the fact that he is a Sports Network fighter and holds the WBU 'title'. From what I understand, Goossen is willing to make this fight, almost as a stay busy bout rather than vacating.

Not sure what to suggest really, for either party. Jennings will get a beating, whilst Williams has bigger challenges elsewhere IMO.

If Froch vs Pascal is shown on ITV along with Lacy vs Taylor, I'll be over the fuckin' moon.

Can't see it though.

Hatton-Mallignaggi won't be for the IBF Title.

Mallignaggi will get stripped for refusing to face his mandatory challenger (Ngoudjo).

Really? He only defended against him in January!

Really? He only defended against him in January!
He won a very controversial decision. Because of that Ngoudjo was involve into a title eliminator against Souleymane M'baye ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) for a shot at Malignaggi. The winner was to get a title shot before the end of october.

Malignaggi knew all that before facing N'dou and before deciding to fight Hatton.

Also, according to the IBF rules. The champion has to make a mandatory defense every 9 months.

 Thats true.

Ive not been impressed with Froch as of yet, and i think he could be fighting more often, 3 to 4 times a year would not hurt him at all.

He has got skills but i have a feeling he is going to fall just short at the top.

Latest from froch... no fight news though...

"Sadly there are a few others in boxing who also need to turn it in. Roy Jones was an unbelievable talent in his 1990's heyday, but as much as i admire what he has done over the years the stark reality is that he's been smoked in three of his last six fights ! I find it a bit disapointing that Calzaghe has decided to fight Jones after declaring in his autobiography that he would prove nothing by being the third person to knock Jones out.

As much as he says it will earn him good money I can't help but feel he wants to protect his unbeaten record more than challenge himself against a hungry fighter like Pavlik or yours truly. Eubank gave Joe his chance but it seems he is reluctant to pass the torch and would rather keep his '0' intact."

not true, he made his mandatory in may, so has 2 voluntary fights.
