...you don't have a say in it.
His last two fights have been brutal.
Win or lose, he gives us what we want.
This is the Katsidis Express where you all don't get a choice if you join or not. You have been signed up automatically. Yeah I'm a dictator but shit happens.

I think baby Bull Diaz will give him fits.
What he lacks in technical ability he more than makes up for in sheer minded aggressiveness.

I agree, he is the new 'one to watch' out there, may it all continue like last weekend!
He's good and all but his attitude in the ring is cheap.
I don't think his attitude in the ring is cheap, he comes to fight, not exchange pleasantries. He's all business.

Katsidis is the definition of a warrior. He fights with heart and passion, has an awesome power punch and can take a punch. Everyone of his fights is an epic and a pleasure to watch. He's great for boxing but he needs to sort out his defence.

He threw about 12 jabs in a WHOLE fight against the Filipino. That is so gangster.
He is strong as shit and hits as hard as fuck! He does have a defence but speed and reflexes just aren't his forte. People sleep on how well he paces himself and how he isn't just a straight a head fighter. Watch him circle in ring centre and ultimately only let 40-50 shots go a round. REALLY reminds me of Marciano in that respect.
He has areas to work on and hopefully he will while maintaining his approach. He needs a jab ASAP, he needs to move his head and I'd like to see him massacre the body more.
Ultimately we all love his mindset.
I did read about his training on max boxing and it's strongman/caveman type shit. It's great. Sort of shit that makes for a great 24/7, countdown etc

I don't think you can look at it like that. That Filipino showed an unreal level of durability in terms of chin, heart, stamina etc
The effects were proven biologically as the Filipino appears seriously injured.

I like blood and guts warriors, but elite class ones that deserve their elite class merits. Such as Diego Corrales, Gatti was just a punching bag the last couple of years, it was sick to watch and people still ate it up.
Gatti's fights lacked the type of finesse that a Castillo-Corrales fight has with their masterful showcase of infighting.
I am by no means stating that I don't appreciate lower level area's of boxing, but just that I don't appreciate them when they are showcased as the best of lot, which Gatti-Ward and several others were.
They really didn't thrill me, not even to the level that JMM-MAB did.

These guys are still titlists so they are quality fighters, even if they aren't top P4Pers.
If you are not thrilled by what guys like Gatti and Katsidis do then I maintain you are weird. What they do takes ALOT of skill even if it appears brutal.

I know that I am eccentric, I admit it fully. It's okay though.
I know that it takes a lot of skill, just you should realise what my reaction to overhyping is by now, it does me all wrong..
Look at my favourite Calzaghe, bashed for years, while jokes are highly touted.:yep
How about another favourite, Kostya Tszyu, underappreciated just because of his loss to Hatton. It's annoying that lesser than top class guys like Gatti are more well known than PHENOMINAL guys.
Gatti was GOOD, not PHENOMINAL. Hell, look how I defend guys people bash, I'm not all bad. I just hate hype trash, hate it to the core.

Achilles was an unbeatable god like warrior, like a prime Roy Jones Jr.
Rocky Katsidis is more like Achilles cousin who gets killed by Hector, he wanted to be Achilles, but wasn't even close.

I have always said Britain has a MAJOR problem with not supporting the guys who are actually good or better i.e. Bruno instead of Lewis.
Calzaghe and Hatton should be icons in Britain. Before they had to have 43 fights.

I know, and note that I have supported Hatton through thick and thin. Hatton deserves his praise, instead he gets a lot of hate when joker shit like Katsidis and Gatti(in comparison to Hatton's level) are highly touted and treasured just because they take too many shots to the head and lack the refinement to THRASH B level opposition.
Pfft.
Amsterdam see's through that bullshit.:deal
If Britain backed JC after he beat Eubank, he'd have gotten better fights, win or lose, would have shown the warrior inside and would have made his fans and the UK proud.

He's fun as hell to watch, that's for sure. That was the nastiest cut I've ever seen. But I expected him to have more power, maybe Amonsot just had a great chin, but I thought Katsidis didn't hurt him that often. He had the accumulation of punches going on, but not the one punch knockout style that Gatti had.
Either way I definitely look forward to seeing him again.

I dig him. What you see is what you get- no great technical ability, however he has a tonne of heart and a nice bit of power. He has great stamina and fitness due to his fanatical training regime. The guy is really fun to watch. Guys like him, are a true test to all those guys out there with a ? on their chin, or their heart for that matter- he will test them no matter who they are.

He uses a lot of really old school techniques like hitting tyres with sledge hammers and doing actions that not only use the entire body, but that also develop coordination and use the smaller muscle fibres that don't get worked by traditional weights training.

all i have to say about this subject is.
that all along the Aussie fans were saying that Katsidis will win the fans over when he fights in the USA and that is exactly what has happened.
i dont care that his defense isnt good because his heart is one of the best in boxing today. and heart will win my vote everytime.
but two fights within 6 months and he has brought you Katsidis vs Earl aswell as Katsidis vs Amonsot.
i say he deserves everything that comes his way. because at a time when boxing is getting a bit to much about defense he brings nothing but Offense like the Pheonix Suns or the Dallas Mavericks. Great to watch and it helps our sport more than it harms it.

because in a time when boxing is all about making money and not losing and trying not to get hit.
this kid Katsidis doesnt care about all that shit. sure he loves the money part of it but he wasnt scared of facing Joan Guzamn at all in fact it was Guzman that made some bullshit excuse to pull out of the fight.
now he wants a shot at Juan Diaz and his not scared about it either. how many fighters back away from certain fights or run to fight old past prime fighters these days.
yet you dislike this kid all because he hasnt got much defense.
Poor excuse to dislike a boxer if you ask me. :good

Nothing wrong with it, glad you're aboard. These all action guys get too much regard, then when someone says otherwise, they will call on a horridly boring fight as an example of what a critic wants, when realistically I just want the best fighters to be represented and supported, ESPECIALLY guys like JMM, whom have been shafted their entire careers.
