Khan has said that he first wants a world title at 135lbs.
However he doesn't say no when he would have the opportunity to fight for the WBA 140 crown.Rees' style would be perfect for him.
Both are promoted by Frank ******.The source is another boxing website.I think this is a very good opportunity for him to fight for a world title that soon. With his very fast hands he could outbox Rees and if he is capable of avoiding being pressured and brawled he could take the title.
imo khan would beat rees now, but it would be a short reign.

How many KOs does Rees have?? Cotto's management has been notoriously reluctant to put him in with anyone who can punch - and with good reason, as his last fight showed.

khans still needs to prove himself at light weight, theres too much competition at light welter he'll get broken in half.
i don't think the wba allow khan to fight such a poor opposition if he wins the belt.

Ree`s is a bad bad joke. His never fought for a domestic title but gets a world title shot? For himto even have a world title around his waste is a travesty of justice.

Well he got the shot and he won the bout so deal with it.
He is now WBA champ at 140.

Absolutley.
people are STILL discrediting Rees.
yes he didnt deserve a shot at the WBA title, especially as he isnt even a light welterweight! but fact is he dominated the highly ranked champion so he must have some class about him. He isnt close to Ricky hatton or anyone, but fact is nobody really knows how good the kid is!
i think he beats khan at this point going by both of there past performances.
Dont think the WBA would allow another contraversial defence though, they were lucky that the Mbaye-Rees fight was kinda under the radar...Rees-Khan wouldnt be, itd be a joke at this stage.
Put Khan in with Earl or Thaxton or someone...

No need for that, suprised to see a "racial/nationalistic" insult from you Scurla :-(
Btw do you still think that Howard Eastman would school Calzaghe and Witter would bash Hatton up?

Reading that question about Eastman and Calzaghe reminds me of a post on boxrec saying that Calzaghe ducked Eastman once too!:rofl
Eastman hardly handled Ashira!

Everyone wants a piece of Rees. I think Khan would beat him now pretty easily but he will have to wait and by then Rees might have lost his title.

Fuck it he should hold out for Khan and try and get some tidy money out of it while he can.
To be honest I haven't seen Khan fight since Kindelan beat him in the olympic final.
Is he a cut above Audley Harrison or just another show poney?
