I just started boxing at the end of last year. I'm american and live in germany. I was wondering if there were a difference on how those who train in the states and those who train in europe? If so is there a training method to benefit from both?I've also noticed since i've been going to a boxing gym in town that we don't learn or do alot of defense practice drills? Does' anyone have any recommendations?
Boxers from the US often are a bit more "flashy". They rely on head movement more, while most Euro fighters do nothing but blocking. I dislike the Euro style to be honest, and I'm European myself. I doubt the gym work itself differs much, each gym is different even in Europe.

i recomend you find a gym that teaches defence, how will you know how to defend yourself in sparrig if you havnt practised the defensive moves and perfected them first.
