I think we will see a truly british invasion for this super-fight and Hatton's support will no doubt wind up Floyd with some very cruel chants during the weight-in and fight. Being from Leeds, England I don't know if Floyd is so well liked as a person by his american public and it will be interesting to see if they would want to see Mayweather lose if the fight is close. Floyd is a fantastic boxer but something is missing...maybe we need to see him hurt and pull out some inner courage to turn a defeat into a dramatic win. No matter how good Floyd is, I've got a feeling this will be the best fight he's gonna have in his career and will be a classic.

Of course it will be. The fight could be in Floyd's backyard and the crowd will still be pro-Hatton. Castillo's dedicated Mexican following was drowned out by the British invasion; Floyd, who has nowhere near the fanbase that Castillo has, will be a lonely man.
Then again- when was the last time the crowd was predominantly pro-Floyd? And when was the last time he let it bother him?

nobody likes Mayweather apart from a few die hard fans...and why would anyone like him? even in Vegas ther crowd would be massively pro Hatton, but he still gets his arse kicked.

Your from Leeds too!:D I dont think Floyd has that big of a following, plus there could only be 2000 Brits in the MGM Grand (presuming the fights there) and they'd still be louder than the rest:lol:

Mayweather was hurt against Corley and still fought back, he was also troubled many times by Castillo in both fights and still came back. Not to forget the number of times DLH hurt him in that fight as well yet he fought back, nothing is missing when it comes to that in my opinion.
Pro-Hatton crowd...but won't change a thing. It didn't help Gatti at Boardwalk Hall or Oscar in Vegas.
Floyd doesn't have a big following to live events outside Michigan.

I don't think we'll see him hit much with Hatton...Somewhere between Gatti fight and Baldomir fight, but defensive clinic nonetheless.
Mayweather - Cotto...i think we'll see if Floyd's got the heart and punch resistance to make a classic fight before he walks away.

I would be fine with all of Brittain coming over here and having all the fun in the world they wish. Just please, please for the love of all things sacred and holy leave that Marching Band at home. Football, basketball, many other (mainly outdoor)events fine, but there is no place for a marching band in a boxing arena!! If so (although i dislike rap and the rapper) I hope floyd brings in 50 cent with a couple turn tables and like 50 15" speakers and gives em a dose of their own shit on that one.

Let's be real for a second, nobody gives a flying fuck about Hatton in America, and if they do, they're just really Floyd haters deep down. Also, Floyd is as much of a PPV draw as any other welterweight except DLH right now. He is by no means a mainstream figure, but once again, no one in boxing except DLH is known by the public. At least for Floyd, he just participated in the most popular fight in boxing history, so his name may still be on some people's minds.
If the fight is in America (especially if it's in Las Vegas), 30% AT MOST of the crowd will be non-British. Frankly, American fight fans don't particularly matter in respect to this fight; they don't generally like either boxer.
If it's in LV, then on that week LV will become a British colony. The Red Coats are coming!

Just like PBF said before he fought Oscar "the crowd can't get into the ring and fight for him" PBF has faced hostlie fans before and it didn't faze him.:deal IMO there's nothing better than silencing hostlie fans.:yep

Maybe. But Floyd has fought Gatti in Atlantic City and Oscar in Las Vegas. I don't think he has any problem with pro-rival crowds.

It would be intersting to see the dynamic of the crowd at a Hatton V Malignaggi fight at The Garden.
There is every chance it could kick off big time

Nope I think that half the fans will want to see Floyd get beat and the other half will want to se Floyd beaten to with in an inch of his life.

Yes, and while it may help motivate Hatton; PBF will most likely be unaffected.

It could be, but what alot of you don't realize is the only ppl that really wanted to pay to see Hatton fight Castillo was his fans. In this fight there will be alot more Amreicans who want to see this fight, and believe me they want be Hatton fans. There won't be 9,000 tickets available to his fans!! Mark my words...this will be another star studded event, and with the right promo will be very big. Floyd will have a nice following!!

yeah tickets for this fight might cost as much as the plain ride over. So I don't know if we'll be seeing as many people show up from across the pound.

There's a possibility that the Brits will own Vegas for a weekend, but Floyd will own Hatton all night, and for the rest of his life!!

I think most will be there for Floyd but however many Brits do get tickets they'll still drown Jack Nicholson, George Clooney and their buddies out.

The DLH/Mayweather crowd sucked. I didnt even know there were people in the stands. None of them showed emotion. I expect the Hatton fans to be completely different.

Do bears shit in the woods????
Of course, it will be PRO Hatton!!!
The brits will buy at least 10,00 seats and the americans will be 50/50 or better in Hattons favor..
Floyd is a fucking asshole and his "fans" are certainly a minority. As many tune in to see him lose as win, and the brits will undoubtedly push that number in Hatton's favor.
