View Full Version : Please don't sign with ****** Mr Degale
David UK

Maybe Golden Boy will have their cheque book out. They can still promote him fighting in UK.
The last thing we want is to see Degale being given far easier fights than he's had in the Olympics for the next 3 years, followed by a shot at the vacant WBO tidal, followed by multiple defences of his tidal against fighters even most boxing fans have never heard of, whilst ****** constantly promises the big fight against XYZ is 'just around the corner'!!

i'm convinced david haye will sign him.
being a fellow londoner.
don't worry guys ****** ain't getting his grubby mits on this one. :yep
****** will offer the most money for least risk out of all the promoters.
i think theres a 80% chance that he'll sign with Frank.

He just said he will stay on for 2012 if the GB coach does too.
I think his style is more suited to the Amateurs, he should stay and try to defend his title in 2012

Yeah but didnt Khan say the same shit after athens? He'll turn pro. at 22 he'd be foolish not to.

The thing is, is that there is now a fair bit of dosh there available to remain amateur now.
Kahn stated he was remaining amateur though, then went pro.

i don't think that much of him. but like khan in 2004 the promoters will make him out to be the next ray leonard or de la hoya

I guess he may just be saying it in the heat of the moment.
It will be interesting to see who turns pro, hopefully Lomachenko will.

Kahn stated he was remaining amateur though, then went pro. Thats because he was worried that he might get chinned by the under 14's east lancs champion.

if degale is remotely switched on to that side of the business, he should see that whatever short term gains he can get from fishface, he will do better to choose a slightly more honest route if he wants real glory.

I wouldn't stay for another four years. Anything could happen, injury, poor decision, loss of form, a new wunderkid arrives on scene, etc etc
I doubt very much he will stay am for 4 years. It will also be much harder to adapt to pros after so long as an am

fuck the ams, he should turn pro now.
He reminds me a lot of Monzon, I bet he would take Pavlik right now, and Frank would be the one to get him the shot. He did it for Lockett.

He just said he will stay on for 2012 if the GB coach does too. He`s talking shit. When money talks the bullshit runs the marathon. Khan said the same thing. His been a pro for a few years now.

Agreed, although I hope he gets stopped several times before then. And during then. And after then (if he's still fighting).

He would have to be Britains best prospect when he turns pro and although I do not like ****** a move in that direction would be pretty good, as long as the kid is not extremely chinny.

he took a couple of big shots pretty clean, he reminds me of hamed when he gets hit, head and arms all over the place yet avoids further punches somehow

He already has a gold, why bother waiting 4 years for another games?
Put yourself in his shoes.
****** will come to him first, offer him the most money, say ''We will have you on Amir Khan undercards etc etc, make you loads of money, then go straight for the big fights in the USA, I will make you a bigger star then Ali''
Same old crap. But ****** will definately get him.

Hopefully he stays away from ******. It should be interesting to see, Haye has already signed a few decent prospects so we never know. Either way, he's gonna have to do a lot of ad******g to his style in order to be a top pro.
The MW/SMW division is slowly heating up there's a lot of potential e.g. (Dirrell brothers, Andre Ward, Danny Jacobs, Joe Greene, Andy Lee, Sutherland, Groves) + (Pavlik, Taylor, Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Pascal). He's entering a competitive division. Exciting times ahead.

his words for staying were if his coach stays, if he gets more money, a nice house and a nice car. well the coach is under severe outside pressure, i think the uk boxers already get more than most other uk atheletes and a nice house in london wont see any change from 350k and i dont see him driving around in a fiesta! so thats some package he is after, dont reckon realistically he will get it and he will get offer big money from pros.
could do worse than going with ****** as by his own admission most of guys he fought in olympics had beaten him before and u dont get many second chances in boxing. well unless u zab judah! degale would do well to sign for 2 years with ******, learn pro game, get good money and step up at only 24.

He shouldn't sign with ******.
That way, when he fights three years worth of stiffs, followed by by a WBO title shot, everyone will give him credit for it.
