Hi guys

I don't have the space for a hanging bag, and am not allowed to hang it. So I was looking at this standing punch bag. Are these things any good at all? Are they worth getting when you cant use a hanging bag?

This is an example of what i am talking about it, though not the one i am buying:

ya those r alright. although depending how big u r n how heavy u hit, if u really wanna POUND at it, ur going to have to put sand in it, not water.

Im not big so i won't need anything really strong. I don't think you fill them with anything, I could be wrong though

I think if you are serious you should try and find the time to get to a gym. Like you I thought about getting a bag and starting off but the reality is that it is no use. You'll not know the proper punching techniques and you could devolop bad habits.

I joined my local and it was the greatest decision I have ever made.

At least go down and learn some of the basics, ie feet movement and punching combos. Then get a half decent standing bag. Nothing below the 100 quid mark imo.

Good luck
