Heavyweight is underrated for P4P guys - Ali and Marciano should rate very highly on such lists. Plus its the toughest division to make it in. (I'm not counting Langford/Charles/Moore as HWs for this purpose but they could be included). Actually all the great heavyweights are great P4P aswell to some extent
The problem you have is which division you rank fighters in????

For heavyweight, it would have to go:
1. Muhammad Ali
2. Joe Louis
3. Rocky Marciano
4. Jack Dempsey
5. Mike Tyson
6. Joe Frazier
7. George Foreman
8. Larry Holmes
9. Lennox Lewis
10. Wladimir Klitschko
Or something to that effect. The LightHeavies as great as thet were would be hardpressed to fit into the heavyweight top ten.

I think Rocky should be 1 or 2 on a HW P4P list because he was the lightest and practically fought the great 175lbers at a catch weight.
You missed Jack Johnson, Patterson, Holyfield and Liston off your list.
IMO Wlad, Lewis and Foreman miss the cut as they dominated based on size
If you were doing a P4P Heavyweight list Charles, Langford and Moore would rate highly

Lightweights pretty deep aswell. The likes of Duran, Whitaker, Williams, Armstrong, Gans, Jack, Canzoneri, Ortiz, Leonard, De Jesus, Ambers, Aggott, Montgomery, Laguna etc.

If you were doing a P4P Heavyweight list Charles, Langford and Moore would rate highly The lists are always subject to debate, It was just a quick example. The fighters which make the list, should be based on thier performance at that certain weight. Like any other top ten rankings. Charles & Moore were probably best suited for LightHeavyweight. Langford could have possibly cracked the top ten easily. Jackson should have definatly been on the list. Holyfield too, but I was trying to make an example of pure Heavyweights. & Holyfield although he made a great impact in the Heavyweight Division. He also could be considered the greatest Cruiserweight of all time.

Definitely the lightweights for mine.
Duran, Leonard, Armstrong, Whitaker, Williams, Ross, Chavez, Canzoneri, Ortiz, and Arguello are all in my top 35 p4p.

Yeah pretty much the same for me. Duran I have at #5 or #6, Armstrong at 4, Leonard at #7/8, Whitaker around 18, Ross around 14/15, Chavez around 23, Canzoneri around 25 or so, Arguello around 30-35 somewhere. Ortiz and William may rank just outside, sort of in the 38-42 zone.

Lightweight has always appeared the deepest division historically to me.
I have 3 lightweight champions (Duran, Leonard, and Armstrong) in my top 10, Whitaker and Gans are top 15, Ross is top 15 or 20, Ike Williams is a top 25 IMO.
Then there's Ortiz, Canzoneri, Brown, Arguello, Chavez, Montgomery, Jack, etc, etc. The division's insanely deep.

Yeah, Patterson definitly should rank in the Top5 in such a list. Johnson is, with the eception of Schmeling, my favourite hw but I donīt think he deserves to rank there, just like Liston, Foreman, Lewis and Wlad. Perhaps you should instead consider guys like Choynski and Burns and perhaps Sailor Tom Sharkey.
