Not cheap, but healthy. Copied from another post, my food during work today. I do physical labor so I need a lot of food.

A smoothie made of: orange juice, 2 bananas, 2 peaches, a shitload of strawberries, blackberries, flaxseed oil, hemp oil, whey protein, yogurt.

Tomorrow I'll mix in elderberries and blueberries instead of the expensive strawberries.

It tastes great actually. I'm a fruit freak though.

sounds good but will cost abit and take a few minutes to make, what do you guys think of taking a weight gainer as a meal replacement?

I think it's a shit replacement for a meal, there's not much nutritional value in them.

Champion nutrition's ultra met is a very fine choice for a meal replacement. I work 12 hour shifts and am on the go alot so it helps me get my protein and calorie requirements in the day. Excellent taste also, which is important if you are going to be drinking alot of them.

i tried this today, i used everything minus the flaxeed and hemp oil and also added in oats to the mix, i gotta say its not bad at all.

Put in the oils mate, they're important. Perhaps they'll even fix your bum knee ;)

Get some flaxseed oil and some sesame or hemp oil and mix them in your smoothie. Perhaps your diet is a reason why your knee takes so long to recover, not saying it is since I don't know what you eat, but it's possible.

I just take fish oil (not those oils you mention). Is that fine ?

Fish oil is excellent, I take them once or twice a day. I believe in balance though so I mix it up. Each has its own advantages.

You could try a slower digesting protein. Either egg or casein protein or a protein blend that has them along with whey.

Whey digests fast so getting some slower digesting protein would keep you full longer.

You should not replace a meal, just take a smoothie with you. Carbs (fruit), protein (yogurt + whey), fats (oils). Filled to its neck with nutrients.

its not really to replace a meal, basically in the weekend i work for a clothing retail company and basically i am in charge of the handling the delivery, i work 4-5 hours and by the end of it i get very exhausted/tired and weak.

That's because you need "food", not a replacement or a supplement ;)

Well, you say you are getting tired and weak perhaps it's not enough. I usually eat every 2-3 hours, especially when I have physically demanding work to do.

here the problem, when i have work at 12pm i eat at around 10am, leve 11 and work from 12-5, from 12-5 i get nothing to eat since we do not get a break, drinks are allowed though.....

Another thing you can try Relentless, is buy flax seeds and grind them in a coffee grinder along with the oats and then add it to the smoothie. I add that to fruit and yogurt smoothies along with whey protein and I'm not hungry for hours.
