The modern olympic boxers dont know they're born! They have it waaaaaay easier than the guys way back when.

I was just reading up on a past olympic gold medalist. Now get this... he had his four bouts ON THE SAME DAY. :admin

16x 2min rounds is not that bad over a day

it is spread out now for the tv. im sure most of them there could recover from 8 mins of hard work in a hour or 2 and be ready for another fight

Yeah but in those days it was 3x3 minute rounds, smaller gloves no headgear etc etc

Olympic was closer to pro then
and the fights were significantly more entertaining to watch.

they are going back to 3x3 so that should help.

now they just need to scrap the scoring system or at least make the scores hidden so both fighters keep fighting until the end.

ye i hate when fighters spend the last 30 seconds just running.

i think the fight should happen and get scored after by the 5 judges by watching the fight back from all the angles
