Current IBF Pan Pacific title holders include Shane Cameron (HW), Gareth Hogg (LHW), Daniel Geale (MW), Ryan Waters (LMW), Heath Ellis (WW) & Ranee Ganoy (LW).

Looking at that list, in my mind, these titles do have some credibility. In fact I respect the title more having looked up that list of belt holders.

It worries me though when I see we have an IBF Pan Pacific champion soon to defend against a fighter who’s lost his past 10 fights!

No names. There’s nothing personal in this whatsoever. But what I can’t understand is how you get to challenge for an IBF Pan Pacific title, or any title anywhere for that matter, when you’ve lost your last 10 fights!

Am I missing something here??

Are you saying that if you put the money up you get a shot at the title (regardless of if you've lost you last 10 fights)?

It would seem so, Lovemore fought a few blokes in defence of his IBF pan pac who couldn't even compare to him, for a bloke with fairly moderate power, they were all early stoppages.

These days IBF pan pac's, paba and to a lesser extent opbf are just used as an easy way up in the rankings of that organisation. Instead of beating a top 10 contender for your rating, just defend your regional title 5 times and your already number 7 contender.
