Is the heavy bag a good tool to use to increase speed,i know power of course, but if i constantlly hit the bag correctly, but hard,i have to be improving speed right?

its not just heavy bag kid
3 rounds non stop skipping rope
4 rounds of shadow boxing
4 rounds of heavybag
4 rounds of mitt work
4 rounds of double end bag
3 rounds non stop speed bag

(3mins a round not two)
and three days a week replace the 4 rounds of heavybag with 4 rounds of sparring.
include your floor work and road work everyday.

the heavy bag isnt for power punching. more for range finding. the bag shouldnt move much, an if it does u move with it and keep ur range.

A proper well balanced work out include your runing in the morning minimum 4-5 times a week if your planing to fight. You should forget about the 2 min rounds

I agree, 3-4 rounds on the bag is right. But remember something, it is not the quantity of rounds you do it is the QUALITY of the rounds you do. When you hit the bag those 3-4 rounds you should be working really hard and do drills. Try this next training session. Start out circling the bag, throwing jabs and crosses. After one minute go all out on the bag for 30 seconds straight with all your combination without sacfricing quality. Then circle the bag for another minute throwing jabs and crosses and when the 30 seond whistle goes off punch non stop until the bell rings. This will improve your conditioning and stamina and prepare you for amateur fights really well.

I hope I can do that by next March or so, when I'll start competing.

quality rds is the key as someone has pointed out...3-4 high quality technical rds works...I can't stand watching kids and adults alike go 10 half-ass rds on the bag while they digress their skills because their poor technique develops into awful habits....whatever you do do it right and develop good habits
