Out of ten how do you currently rate Hayes chances of beating Wlad?
*I realise it is very early to tell*

Probably a 50/50 fight as long as Haye doesn't slow himself up too much by overly bulking up.

*I realise it is very early to tell*I personally feel he's being overated at the moment. He's got to have at least one meaningful fight at heavy to determine what he's capable of doing. As it stands, a ko for klit, In 5/6 rounds. Theres nothing i've seen of haye so far that makes me think he takes klit...

the jury's still out on haye for me.fair enough good power and hand speed, but it's his overall durability and chin at the higher weight that i doubt.in fact i think he could be embarrased by vitali and sparked inside 3 rounds.

At the moment I give hm no chance. Haye needs to prove he can deal with decent heavyweights before this fight happens.
2 or 3. We have to be realistic, Wlad's defence is far superior to Haye's, his jab will be very difficult to pass, so chances are he'll catch Haye first as he'll have to do something out of his comfort zone to get near him.
Haye prefers the other guy to lead off.

Given that 5 is evens, I'll go with 3.

If Klitschko went out for a brawl I would fancy him to get to Haye first utilizing his physical advantages over the smaller man, however knowing that Haye can bang I can see Klitschko being tentative and trying to bore Haye to death and tire him out.
All I know is if Haye lands something substantial on Klitschko's chin it's lights out for the big man.
7/10. I am being generous because I am securely seated on the Haye bandwagon.

seriosuly Wlad is an easair fight for Haye than Chagaev and Peter.

At the moment I'd say about 2. He's unproven at heavy. He's needs some competitive rounds at the weight, most importantly he has to find what sort of weight he's going to be most effective at.
seriosuly Wlad is an easair fight for Haye than Chagaev and Peter.
Don't be ridiculous.
Peter is too fucking slow and has no skill. Haye would beat him to the punch every single time, and if he lands clean the goat hearder would be down as he was against McCline.
Chagaev can't even get out of bed.
They are NOT tougher fights.

If he immediately fought Wlad in his next fight, no-one else, not even a tune-up, I wouldn't give him more than a punchers chance.
While that's a good thing to have against Wlad, plus Haye has quick hands, it would be right into the deep end and I think that would be very risky.
I couldn't say more than 4, at the very most.
Give him a couple other fights at heavy first, against ranked contenders, and that figure would get bumped right up.

What styles thing? You think a guy that has no skill or speed and is completely open to a fast puncher like Haye is more of a stylistic problem than a cagey technician that is difficult to hit, is way taller and longer, and punches harder?
Chagaev can't even get fit to fight, and when he did he was hardly impressive.

Haye struggled agaisnt Fragomeni and Mormeck as the were small, hard punching fighters. when haye fights guy taller than him, like Gurov and Macceranelli, he blows them out in 1-2 rounds.
Chagaev is awkward, has a rock solid chin, is a good boxer, and a southpaw. he was a top class amateur.
Wlad is tall, and has a dodgy chin. Hayes nest shot of beat wlad is hitting him with
if i had to put the current H/Ws in order of difficulty for Haye.
1.Chagaev (southpaw, strong chin, awkard, good skill)
2. Povetkin (small, awkward, skillfull, big puncher)
3. Tua (fast hands, amazing chin, huge puncher)
4.Toney (hugley skillful, small, defensive master, solid chin)
5. Arreola (fast, small, big puncher)
6. Wlad (skillful, strong jab)
7 .Valuev (HUGE)
8. Peter (HUGE Puncher, fast hands)
9. Gomez (skillfull, awkward)
10. Skelton (solid chin)

Well if Wlad is 6 on your list thats pretty much 6 guys that are near certain to KO him.
It's nothing to do with being small or big anyway. It just so happens that Mormeck is the best guy he's faced, and Maccarinelli/Gurov are not all that regardless of being tall.
Vitali would be the toughest fight for Haye, bar none. Technically skilled, heavy hands and a rock solid chin.

I can see peter roughing haye up on the inside, i can't see klit roughing him up, just knocking himout. Is that any clearer ? Haye's chance with peter imo is at arms length, where as with klit, i cant see any. He imo will not get past the jab and if he does he meets the right. I get the feeling if haye had'nt ran his mouth off so much, people would'nt be thinkin his sparkin klit..Gettin sucked in in other words...No offence

So you are pretty much backing up exactly what I said. That's because its so fucking obvious that a chimp could watch Samuel "Goat Hearder" Peter, Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye and come to the conculusion the Ukranian likely to be a much sterner test.
To be honest, that goes for the rest of the division, not just Samuel Peter a.k.a. goat hearder. I can't believe I find myself defending Wlad. I know he's boring, not very black and is a doctor of sport, but he is the best of a horrible bunch. I don't know what sort of analysis comes up with Sam Peter or Chagaev being a harder proposition.
He's much bigger, way better skills, more powerful, and is very difficult to catch clean. Haye can get off first against Peter because he's so slow, and Chagaev who hasn't got a great reach and waits to counter exclusively. You hit the nail on the head, if he gets past a jab he walks into a right hand. That would be the story of the fight, it would take a miracle punch from Haye.

yeh, a fit vitali is top of that list. lucky for haye the two toughest heavys (in my opinion) are more likley to get injured than fight.
wlad is only top h/w as no one in the states had heard of chagaev yet.

I remember him sitting on the ring apron after getting stopped by thompson.Thompson had to reign him in for being a little cocky, even in a loss. Massive head, even in defeat

cant see haye getting past wlads jab to be honest and even if he does that big old right paw of his will soon make haye think about getting past his jab again.
oh i gave him a 3 ( theres always a chance of a lucky shot )

yes vitali would be an absoute nightmare for haye. personally i think at the moment haye has about 3 in 10 chance of beating wlad, he has the speed and power but like its already been said wlads defence is superior and he has an awesome jab theres no doubt about that. all depends if haye can land flush enough times to stop the bug guy.
as for haye-vitali i give haye 0 out of 10 chance
I voted three.
There are factors here that alot of people seem to be missing.
1. People say Hate is a great boxer......but so too is Wlad, better infact remember he IS an olympic Gold medalist.
2. People talk of Hayes power, again what about Wlad? Wlads KO % is awesome plus he is used to fighting heavies.
3. People say once Haye lands on Wlads dodgy chin its goodnight. Well yes i could see tis if it wasnt for Haye being knocked down off a super middleweight, rocked of a non punching Italian, stopped of a supposidly weak champuion in Thompson, and down and hurt badly by a decent but not spectacular puncher in Mormeck.
Also every time Haye has gone down he went down as though he'd been shot, legs gone, etc.
I have a feeling Wlad will go out to hurt Haye and hurt him early. And i cant wait for Haye at the weigh in because he's always talking about his muscles and he will be looking at a very powerful, well buit and ultimatley bigger man in Wlad and i think it might just dawn on him that he may have fucked up on this one.

2 out of 10, 3 at a push. To those saying Haye has 50/50 or better chance I look forward to you putting your money where your mouth is if and when this fight comes off.
Even if Haye lands something big i'm not convinced Wlad will go, the other way round and I am convinced.

Even if Haye lands something big i'm not convinced Wlad will go, the other way round and I am convinced.Agree with you. Just because he's banged out the cruisers, albeit in style, he's now automatically banging out the best at heavy, with absolute no proof.....Boxing fans have to be the most fickle fans in sport. Cause theres gonna be a silly amount of people changing their argument once he cops it...
