great fight, I'm really happy that it's been made. This fall is really looking like it's going to offer better total match ups than we've seen in the past 3 years combined.
why a long night for u?

I know I made a HUGE error in picking Judah over Cotto but i'm gonna have to do it again, but at least this ime it's Mosley. Before you all start annoying me, just know, that I do like Cotto. He's one of my favs, but this is his hardest test to date and i've got a feeling Mosley will edge the decision..

its going to be real hard rooting for either guy since mosley and cotto are two of my favorite fighters, but at the end of the day i hope cotto pulls the victory since his career is booming, mosley had his moments already...

Both guys are already in fighting shape -- they could go at it tomorrow. I think it's a pick 'em, and I pick 'em Mosley by UD. Shane doesn't go for a knock-out anymore, and changes-up his shots enough to confuse Cotto for twelve rounds, and he's got the beard, skill, and legs to deal with Cotto's sledgehammer fists. I hope.

i'm a fan of both fighters, and although cotto is just entering his prime and mosely seems to be in his golden years, it's a matter of styles making fights.
cotto gets starched in this one

Cotto will break him down and stop him, Cotto can neutralise speed and has the edge in power, best of luck to both of them tho and I hope its a great fight :good.

On the surface this seems like a no-brainer for SSM, but consider the situation:
Cotto is coming off his the biggest win of his career and could probably get a fight with just about anyone, and even make good money beating-down a couple of cans. So, I don't see Cotto's team taking this fight unless they were pretty certain of a win. Maybe he knows something we don't know.

i think i am gonna have to go with shane by late ko on this one probably 9 or 10

SSM can't afford to let Cotto build momentum or get back into the fight. Its the only way I see him losing. It will be competitive but Cotto gets hit way too easy and SSM is one of the few who I think can finish off a wounded Cotto.

Mosley will have no answers for Cotto. Cotto by late TKO or lopsided decision.

Shane will be too much for cotto, he's just a strong as cotto if not stronger. Shane is no zab, he's a very smart fighter. Shane stops cotto. one more thing shane has been in with the better fighters. still hungry, still strong.

I'm a Mosley fan, and I think Cotto is going to cause Mosley all sorts of problems. In the end, I think Mosley can pull it off, but it's going to take one hell of an effort.
This is a huge fight for Mosley in terms of legacy. A win over Cotto can do quite a bit for his reputation.
Anything can happen in this one. We're almost guaranteed to see some fireworks.

My biggest concern is that both of these guys are at their best when going forward. Mosley is going to have an extremely difficult time backing Cotto up consistently.
I have no doubts that Mosley will start fast and likely take an early-lead. He's a fast starter, and Cotto, not so fast.
The key will be how Mosley reacts after Cotto finds is groove. If Mosley can make counter-adjustments, he can win. Oftentimes, however, he falls into a gun-shy shell. If Cotto gets him in that shell, it's going to be a long fight for Mosley.

It seems its official, boxrec.com has the fight schedule and they pretty good when it comes to announcing fights... mosley wanted mayweather, but mayweather is schedule on fighting hatton, margarito vs cotto would not happen because of margaritos lost against williams, so mosley vs cotto fight has been schedule...

I love this fight is on but I hate there has to be a loser.
Im picking Cotto, and as much as I adore Sugar, he has done his dash and had a great career. Id rather Cotto go on to the bigger and better things.
So I guess Im picking Cotto and supporting him to beat Shane. Cant recall ever doing that for a Shane Mosley fight.

Its going to be dramatic--am going for an early Mosley KO...starts fast, will hurt Cotto in the first, over in the 2nd or 3rd.

And mate boxrec is not good for annoucing fights.
When there is even a whisper of a fight an editor rushes to put it on there first. Sometimes guys have 3 fights lined up for the same month, when none have been confirmed.
Even boxrec's own editors tell people not to take whats on there as gospel.
