unbelieveably, alex leapai, colin wilson and nathan briggs, 3 of australias best heavyweights, are to fight on the UNDERCARD to a 'nobody' who is fighting the main event !!!!!

alex leapai vs moyoyo mensah
colin wilson vs nathan briggs

i cant even tell you the name of the bloke fighting the main....!!!! who the fuck is he? must be the promotors mate eh???:-(

Chris McCullen is hardly a no-nobody as Australian champ! He is also a massive draw-card in this area. McCullen V Cotterill will be a great fight and will be a fitting end to their first stoush which ended prematurely when Johnny injured his shoulder

Well said Phil...will you be attending the fights?

what...the OPBF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP, fights another household name in nathan briggs, and you recon an unknown aussie light welter is a bigger draw card...?

i recon that the 3 heavyweights ARE THE DRAWCARD.....and they have been included TO GET A CROWD because the other pair couldnt draw a scribble!!

You need to look past the heavyweight thing Sallywinder. McCullen brings hundreds with him every fight night. Alex for all the fun he provides fight-night cannot bring anywhere near as much Nor can the others. It's a great card but why should the Heavies be the main? Last time McCullen-Cotterill was the main support to the OPBF title and it was a much more exciting fight IMO.
I will be there one in a million I am working on this card

Hope the night goes well for you...all the best to Alex, Nathan and I'm a bit split between Chris and Johnny Jnr.

perhaps im a bit harsh on the main fight....but i still believe its the heavies that are the main draw...here and overseas, from the ams to the pros...

good luck on the night to all involved though...

Cheers mate. The Aussie title is a pick-em IMO and both Alex and Nathan will have their hands full with their opponents. Red Corners shows are always excellent and they rarely do their 'house' fighters any favours in match-ups which make the fans the winners on these nights

The main event & best matchup on this card is McCullen vs Cotterill 2 no doubt about it.

Sally has gone a bit crazy here....

Obviously u dont know many contacts in boxing based on that comment.

If only u knew the hardships he was going thru at that time.

Easy to come on here & bag a guy...wats your pro record again.

McCullen is my mate...

Same as Wilson, Briggs and Leapai...

All the boys share top billing equally. Take a look at our past events Sally ;) Although I know you are taking the piss...

Was Brad Vocale in love with Clint Luby tonight or what.
Next coming of god right there.

Also Jason Hartmann aint going very far based on that performance tonight...talk about gassing...Hadlow came home very strong to nearly pinch it.

Moyoyo-Leapai....enough said in other topic.

Nathan Briggs looked as good as i have seen him in a long time & very dedicated too. Well done to his brother Paul & everyone else getting his mind on the task.:good

Chris McCullen...wat can i say...top professional in & out of the ring. Felt a bit like a changing of the guard. Cant wait to see Chris again...seems to have slightly underrated power & is awesomely conditioned with nice handspeed.

I'm interested that Chris McCullen seems to be doing fairly well for himself, he was well beaten by my countryman Dean Byrne last year when Byrne was living in Australia and I'm just wondering what people here make of Byrne as we've seen pretty much nothing of him back in Ireland and he wasn't that spectacular an amateur.

You won't be seeing Chris again Kegsy, at least not with the gloves on. This was his last fight

I worked at the event for the promoter and can tell you the place was packed. There was a large contigent of fans for Colin Wilson, Nathan Briggs some sprinklings for the other fighters but the majority was for Chris McCullen. Each fight went the distance which ended just after midnight. A long night for all involved. The guy who fought Alex Leapai (Moyoyo) was at best a knob, he would hang on, push and basically was wasting everyone's time as he did not really fight but when he did he had some skills. Colin Wilson and Nathan Briggs put on a good show and Nathan's eye was the size of a golf ball by the end of the fight, he was pretty busted up on his left side but well done for beating Colin. I only caught the last few rounds of the Hadlow fight and it looked like he was winning but I dont know what happened in the first few rounds. Chris McCullen was totally on his game and when he was winning a round he picked some nice clean shots on Cotterill that I thought might end the fight but Cotterill took them and stayed in there.
Well done to Chris and all the best for your future.
Thanks
