I don't understand the point this guy is making. If you get beat by someone it doesn't mean your career is over. Franklin got destroyed by only two people ever, possibly by two of the top fighter of all time and this guy is counting him out.
If he loses to Hamil tonight he still can come back and rematch and win. Franklin is a long way from retiring!!!

Don't worry - Franklin won't lose to a one-dimensional fighter like Hamil.

yeah there is little worry there. I just think its brutal they way some people view Franklin. He is a far superior fighter to all of the MW except Silva. If he stayed MW he would be a constant contender to Silva.
Its going to be interesting to see how his career goes from here because there is crazy competition in the LHW, I have a hard time picturing him against guys like Jardine, Wandy, Liddell, Forrest etc. Probably cause I never thought he would move up to LHW.

Franklin might have a rematch with Lyoto Machida looming in his future.

That would be crazy eh? I don't know how that would pan out. I love Franklin, but I hope Lyoto gets a title shot soon, I think this rematch will happen within a year possibly.
I really can't pick a favorite there

I don't get Hamil his strength is a pure wreslter but he tries to strike way too much and looks out of his depth doing it, he showed a glimps of what he can do when he goes for a ground and pound, bit of a waste of talent.

He got a takedown but I think Rich is a bit stronger and more balanced than he lets on. Hamill is a great wrestler against Novice fighters but Franklin had a great take down defense last night.
I bet Hamill hits hard though, Rich looked like he didn't want to get in a big scramble with him, but of course he could have been avoiding a clinch as well. I thought Franklin looked good last night for his first LHW fight.

I know Hamils still green but Rich was very impressive last night he had a gameplan and stuck to it and executed it perfectly. Those leg kicks on Hamils front leg really took away Hamils chances for takedowns IMO. Rich looked good I just still dont know whats next.

Rich franklin is a realy dedicated guy and is extremly determined in the cage, he lost to silvia but that isnt no disgrace there is still a big place for a man like him in the ufc.
