He didn't even look good walking out of the cage. I have a feeling a hospital visit is in his future tonight.

If Liddell gets knocked out three more times, he can fight Kimbo.
Chuck should call it a career, getting old is always a hard thing to watch.

Unless you're Couture...then you somehow get better.

:rofl
Kimbo would still have to wait a year or so, Chuck isn't quite in his 40s yet.

well there is always the exception
Randy already holds that distinction, there can't be two guys like that in the UFC. Odds are against that.

Looks like chuck is starting to have problems with the shorter more compact fighters, who actually are trying to throw meaningful punches...Chuck got frustrated and it showed, He was starting to swing for the fences and got KTFO

Rashad was stinking the place up. Evans throws a 1-2 missing the 1 and landing the 2. Chuck looks like a imploded building as his face and body fell into a pile. Awesome one punch KO.

A legend of UFC is Chuck!!!! Judging by tonight I think his time is gone. No point dwelling on that though because he is a legend of the sport and that will remain for as long as the records of UFC. He has a lot to proud of!!!

What a guy to knock him out too. I can't stand how Rashsad is always dancing around like an idiot it bugs the hell out of me. I understand He is trying to get attention and be marketable, but I don't like to see the UFC go towards awful showboating like boxing had.

No way he retires, his ego is to big.
He should follow Randy's shoes and move up to HW......he has lost 3 of 4 and is a long way off a title shot now.

Indeed...he's gonna stay...and for a long fucking time. Maybe not as long as Couture , but he's not going anywhere...Who knows..maybe he'll give the HW division a try ? but he's fucked there too.

It's the same bad technique he used when he got knocked out by rampage. Not being fundamentally sound is finally starting to catch up to him.

I'm surprised no one was able to catch up earlier...
I mean ok...The likes of Ortiz , Babalu , Couture...all guys who feel much better on the ground (because of their wrestling and bjj)...but still...
Wanderlei caught him several times but never capitalised on the chance to finish him off...he was too hesitant. (but surprisingly wasn't against Jardine..i'm saying , "surprisingly" because jardine is afterall ,...another guy who defeated Liddell).

That was a shocker!!!! Totally unexpected. This is probably better for the UFC in the long run as their Lightheavyweight division has yet a another totally legit contender for the title.

I feel bad for Chuck, but damn that we have a great light heavy weight division. There's so many matchup we can do right now, and we can add Franklin to that group. Why not Wand vs Rich Franklin?

Rashad Evans is the funniest motherfucker  Every part of his career in the UFC has been in spite of Dana White and pretty much the entire organization. He's typically a boring fighter to watch (doesn't mean he doesn't have some KO highlights or that he's a bad fighter) and Dana White hates, hates him and was forced to give him a contract because he won TUF. I don't know anyone else who is basically like fuck y'all to the organization and is still winning fights and getting money

But you have no problem with Tito Otiz and his bullshyt celebrations right? Not all boxers show boat and now all UFC fighters showboat and dance around. Maybe you have some channels that are different from the ones I have. But anway who I never liked Chuck Liddell so It doesn't bother me that he got knocked out. He always seem like a person and now he is getting what was coming to him.
Who said I liked Tito? I actually can't stand his whining and complaining let alone his show boating. I am actually a boxing fan and I find that most boxers do make a lot of shit talk before 12 round snooze fests. At least Rashad finished the fight, he seems to be really well spoken but he is annoying to watch before and after the fight.

I don't think changing wieght classes are going to fix his obvious problems. He came in unprepared and I think this is going to be a little more familiar because Chuck hasn't kept his hands up since rampage and now a lot of fighters are able to strike with him.

I know eh:lol:
Its not like its hard to figure chuck out these days though, I think he just wants the belt back so he isn't thinking about anything but the belt. Also, fighters are becoming way to agile to be hit by hail Mary's like Chucks made a career out of.
I loved watching Chuck in the past, but if he is going to go in there and take shots like that then whats the point.

I kind of liked the outcome of this fight because it showed how crappy most of the striking is in mma. The fact that a guy with this sloppy of a style could dominate a sport is pretty embarrassing in my opinion.

GTFO here with that nonsense. Either you're being totally disingenuous or you're a poser who didn't watch the fucking fight. Evans didn't land much of anything in the first round, but in the second he had Liddell's timing down and got the better of most of their exchanges. Chuck had him cornered in the cage about a minute in and attempted to swarm him with punches, but Rashad backed him off by landing a straight right and then a left hook. He then landed that combo about 2 or three more times before the knockout.
I've never liked Rashad, but to deny that he came in and executed a solid gameplan which took advantage of Chuck's sloppy striking is ridiculous. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Mate, I watched the fight and Evan's stopped Liddell with a lucky punch. I don't buy Evans as a Marquee fighter, lucky punches happen in MMA.

Your claim that he "didn't throw a single punch" before the KO was completely and utterly fallacious, and it's strange to characterize a punch as "lucky" when he was consistently avoiding Lidell's flurries and landing it cleanly before the KO. Assuming you did watch the fight, were you by any chance inebriated?
As for Evans being a "marquee fighter", I never made that claim, nor do I believe he'll ever be a legit draw.

All I'll agree on is Liddell should have seen it coming. It was a soft left lead and obvious big looping follow up right. The type of punch that should hit fresh air 99 times out a hundred! If Evans thinks that type of lucky counter punch is going to sucker many other opponents...no chance.

Liddel was just slower. He tried to get off a punch and got beat to it. Simple as that.

Evans movement is stellar and it was definitely pissing Chuck off. Dana White looked like he was going to cry because his money-maker lost. I was pulling for Evans, but never thought he'd KO Chuck the way he did and I'm hoping he does the same against Griffin and ends up 18-0.

Are you tryna blame Evans cause Chuck didnt see it comin? Maybe Im am reading this wrong, but credit where its due, it dropped Chuck like a sack of shit, nowt lucky bout it in, IMO it was perfectly timed.

you guys notice how after the match when White went over to Evans, he gave him a sorta half hand shake, half props, that seemed very fake and forced. Very noticeable that he was hoping that it was Evans on the ground instead of Chuck.

Chuck has always been lazy with keeping his hands up and fighters are starting to take advantage of it. The way he got nocked out vs both Rampage and Evans are quite similar. He is probably starting to feel the age as well, 38 is old in the fighting game unless you are Forman or Couture.

Let's not forget that Evans did nothing in this bar the looping right hand. If Chuck had adopted the same strategy the place would have boo'd them out, but I predict he would have secured a decision. Chuck paid a heavy price for chasing Evans down. I don't think 38 is too old at all, he will be back, hopefully against Evans.
