i tell you what with all the hullabaloo concerning khan, alex arthur is getting a very easy ride on these boards, for a guy who's talked the talk.given trouble by domestic level smaller guy like foster jnr. then beaten by another smaller guy no better than european level nicky cook.in some ways he was as big a hype job as khan.it's just as well the guzman fight didn't materialise.

I started a thread before calling out Alex Arthur as a overrated fighter.

Even by paper champion standards this guy had no business holding a WBO World Title.

British title - ok.

European - maybe.

World - no way.

I didn't overestimate him, despite all these world titles floating around these days I still group fighters into "domestic", "Euro" and "world" class. AAA was a good Euro level fighter and theres no disgrace in that.

I have no idea what went on with AA tonight, it looked like he fucking wanted to lose and then seemed happy when he did, was he weight drained? or is his heart no longer in it?, can he come back at 30?,

he looks confused.. i think hes a good fighter, but making the weights made him loose all concentration and energy

I think AA is better than Cook overall but just never got in to it last night i hope he had a rematch clause, shame Khan got so badly KO'd could have had Arthur v khan but ****** will never allow that now.
