How do you think some of these matches would have turned out?
1. Evander Holyfield ( at cruiser of course )
2. Carlos Deleon
3. Dwight Qawi
4. David Haye
5. Others

ALL of them. Holyfield gives him the closest fight, but walcottstill has way to many tricks in the bag for a young novice holyfield.

All 'cept Holyfield. He'd beat a lot of great full-sized heavies as well, other than the obvious Ali, Holmes, Sanders, Lewis etc etc

Walcott would have beaten all of these guys with the possible exception of Holyfield.

Don't know if Walcott could stop Holyfield... Holy might catch up to him late Marciano style if the fight goes 15.

Holy was too young and inexperienced for Walcott at that stage of his career. The hw Holyfield I think would beat Walcott but it would be close.

I don't think Evander had the power to stop Walcott.

Walcott was erratic but he could time Evander and confuse him plus Joe would go to the body, head and he had a tricky pair of legs...Evander would press him though but may get caught with some pin point bombs...12 rounds Walcott

At his best I think he would beat all of them with Evander running him close but his lack of experience at the weight would prove an up hill struggle. I think Qawi would give a good fight too. Juan Carlos Gomez should have an option he was better at cruiserweight then all those guys minus Holyfield.

Holyfield is the only cruiser that would have a real shot at beating an on form Walcott but my money would be on Jersey Joe by decision vs Evander so I suppose my answer to the thread question is all of them.

Walcott beats all of them. Holyfield gives him the most trouble, but he doesn't have the style/power to break down and stop Jersey Joe.

I would tend to think that he beats all of them.
Holyfield is arguably a greater fighter but Walcott would be a bad stylistic match for him.
Having said that Holyfield and perhaps some others could split series with him.

Holy would be the only one I'd give a good chance, though I wouldn't directly favor him.

Better pound for pound, yes. He's also better compared to fellow Crusiers than HWs but that's mostly because Cruiser is such a weak weight while HW has quite a few ATGs.
Had the HW Evander fought the CW Holyfield the HW version wins. Holyfield was better P4P at CW, but in actual head to head matchups obviously the HW version is better due to him being more skilled, experienced, stronger, and more powerful :good

He was a novice. but I also agree with you his best was in the late 1980s. but even at his best in the 1980s, he didnt have alot of ring experience, and I think a master veteran like walcott would have too many tricks for him. I see the late 1980s holyfield with his fast reflexes and combinations giving walcott trouble, but i also see holyfield running into alot of walcotts counter traps, and getting outsmarted. the mid 1990s holyfield was smarter and wouldnt get caught in walcotts traps, but he didnt have the speed reflexes of a late 1980s holyfield anymore to take advantage of it.

Yeah, why then did you say that Holyfield was better at CW than HW?
