according to boxrec these two are "getting it on" !
so, what do you think???
me.....i fucking hate it!!!
cintron is considered to be a "player" at 147. but after getting the "five dollar whore treatment" from margo, cintron has yet to fight a contender!!
and that includes him winning the WBA belt by beating unkown suarez.
his first defense was vs another unkown who´s claim to fame was getting the crap pounded out of him by paul williams.
and now feliciano. feliciano is nothing but a blown up jr. welter journeyman whos style wont allow him to have even the slightest chance. NOT THE SLIGHTEST!!!!!
people say that cintron was somewhat "reborn" under trainer steward.
i say he wasn´t reborn, he is just matched super soft so he can look good. like vs the wide open feliciano.
i bet steward knows there is something terribly wrong with cintron.
otherwise he wouldn´t overprotect him in this rediculous manner.

Felatio is a pritty good journeyman he did very well against a tough opponant in his last outting.
it's just a tuneup to keep Cintron sharp and his confidence high...nothing wrong with that if your last 3 fights are Margarito, Estrada, and Matthysse...

the only problem is that those are not his last three fights!!!
cintron has been tuning up ever since the margo fight. and now he is tuning up some more.
is it too much to ask for him to fight a real contender?

I am sick of this shit. Cintron is building his skills by keeping busy agaisnt b level opponents. This is something that old school fighters did for fucking decades until the ABC organizations and Don King fucked it all up. Yeha he has a belt, but you wouldnt be slamming him if he wasnt a belt holder. He fought two weeks ago and now is fighting again. What a fucking asshole he is to fight again so soon and put on a show for his fans. eVeryone is way overreacting about this. There are not even any belt holders available to fight right now.
are you even reading the post??
i didnt say he should fight a title holder!!!!
just let him fight a real contender for a change!!! he hasnt fought one since margo mutilated him.

Cintron is a fraud, there were talks of him fighting SSM but he and Manny wanted no part of that, haters bad mouth RJJ and PBF for thier comp which was pretty good but nuthug and praise hype jobs like Cintron and Margo who fight nothing but green prospects and overrated C class fighters.

overlooking his record, i couldnt find a single win over a real top ten contender!!!
the only top ten guy he fought made him cry like a baby.

I would like to see Cintron fight either Collazo or Cotto...although Feliciano is not a pushover.

As I said pure hype, he went life and death with Estrada before he KO'd him in round 10, not every fight has to be against elites but the guy is a belt holder and is supposed to be elite so he should be fighting the Judahs, Baldos, Clotteys and Collazos of the division but he won't because he is both hype and a bigger fraud than Margo ever was.

I'd like to see Cintron in with Williams, Margorito, Clottey, Julio, etc. However, I see nothing wrong with this fight. I read Steward wants to take this fight and then get back in the ring again in Nov/Dec. After being inactive for a while, him staying busy makes a lot of sense. So staying active against a guy like Feliciao isn't a bad thing at all.Besides Estrada and Saurez aren't bad fighters, Matthyse might be average with a padded record but with a ko % like that he did pose some risk. But come early 08 Cintron does need to start seeking out the elite though. A lot of the dust should have settled in the division and he'll have plenty of tough options. Besides Cintron-Feliciano might be enjoyable while it lasts.

I agree, I'm predicting his next fight to be with Paul Williams. Perhaps in Dec.

Feliciano is not a walk-over opponent. In his last three fights, he beat Vince Phillips, drew with Alfonso Gomez and knocked out Delvin Rodriguez. Not bad at all.

All the big name fighters are fighting. Cintron needs to stay busy. And you know damn well that Margarito and Williams will be a taking a break after the slugfest they just had and wont be fighting for at least 4 to 5 months to heal up. Cinton on the other hand is only taking 8 weeks in between fights.

why not rematch margarito, margo got nothing scheduled so far. it'd make him feel good if he can get through margo since he got beat up pretty badly in their first encounter.

That's a lie. Mosley-Cintron was almost a done deal in February, but Golden Boy decided to have Shane fight Collazo instead because there was a legal battle going on between Cintron and his promoter. If him and Manny wanted no part of Shane the Kermit wouldn't have called him out after his last fight.

Real fights are nothing like sparring. No one should complain about a fight like this. It's a stay busy fight. Fighters used to do this ALL THE TIME. It keeps em sharp and in shape. If he was fighting 2 times a year and had this, then people could bitch. But that's obviously not the case.

Feliciano is on a good string of fights.
And Cintron obviously is taking an old school approach to boxing as a pro. I'm not complaining. Stay busy, even if they aren't A class opponents. It may pay off huge down the line.

Fuck, this is why guys will never live up to the old timers... if you fucking crybaby douchebags were around back when SRR was fighting he'd never be an ATG.
Be happy Cintron is fighting again so soon, guys should be able to take easy fighters and put their belt up against top guys twice a year, and have 2 or 3 keep busy bouts, but it won't fucking ever happen with bitchy little whiny fucks like this topic poster giving them shit about it.
You fake ass fans make me sick.

Yep. The thing here is you should be pissed at a guy who fights two cans within a year frame. But when a guy fights in July and then September, you shouldn't be complaining over his opposition. Nobody does this anymore.

Actually Cintron's team was pushing for a Mosely fight but Mosely's team pushed out I know a dude named "Arty" in NYC who works for HBO and he fills me in from time to time on events. I just thought you should know not that it would make you more of a fan and all.:smoke

The guy is talking about showing the real Cintron . . . then take a stay busy fight? Fuck that.
He should have asked for a Margarito rematch or if he wants a "stay busy fight" at least fight somebody within the lower part of the top ten list. Somebody respectable. Miguel Rodriguez, Frederick Klose, Roberto Garcia or even Carlos Quintana.
It work both ways, if it so happens that Feliciano shows up good and give him a tough fight or even beat him, Cintron is back in the garbage. Got what I'm saying? He doesn't have to fight Sept after fightingf last July, it could be Oct or Nov for as long as it is a quality opponent.

What? Cintron needs a live punching bag where he can practise what Steward is teaching him? :think :D Argh. A 15-5-3 record doesn't just disqualify someone from being a quality fighter. Feliciano is a young guy who was put in with very tough opposition(Hopkins, Gomez three times, Diaz, Arnaoutis, etc.) from a very early age and at a premature stage of his career. There are plenty of fighters over 24 years old with more than 23 fights who have never fought anyone remotely resembling a name opponent- Feliciano's been going up against one after another after another. When two fighters are actually standing in the ring and swapping punches, paper statistics are the last thing that matters.
That said, Feliciano is clearly a limited fighter, looks to be no more than a gatekeeper-type, and should be soundly beaten, probably by being steadily outboxed and broken down for a mid-late knockout, if Cintron doesn't take him lightly.
