MAB, but Morales is right behind him. Both are very popular in Mexico. Morales probably more in the Northern states, while Barerra is from Mexico Ciudad and is popular there.
I heard there are some issues based on the ethnicity and/or the social status. Is that true?

Morales is real,,,barrera always tries to play like an angel when it was HE who started the brawl at the press conference, HE who tried to foul his way out of the fight with Pac, HE who slammed Hamed into a post, HE who intentionally hit Marquez when he was down.
Morales is real/hes based on a true story

MAB is gangsta. My favorite moment in the thrilogy was when he held out 2 fingers in Morales face after he won the rubbermatch. MAB was saying 'In your face, bitch' :yep

Morales is straight gangster. some gangster moments:
1. Getting rocked by Pac in the first fight, and Morales stands and shakes his fists like "lets go" and then drives Pac to the ropes and drills him
2. Losing to Mab in the third fight, then IMMEDIATELY signing to fight Pac
3. His corner tells him hes got the fight with pac won, dont do anything stupid. Then he goes out and fights Pac left handed in the last round, getting rocked the whole way just for entertainment value
Larry merchant- "Why did you do that?"
Morales- "Did you enjoy it?"
Larry Merchant- "Very much so"
Morales- "okay then"
4. Rematching Espadas after having a tough time with him the first time, starching him in three.
5. Getting rocked by Jesus Chavez, then coming back in the second round to floor Chavez twice.
Morales is a mu'fuckin beast!

pretty much what i was gonna say.
i def respect Morales alot more. he beat Pacquiao convincingly and gave him a rematch, then he gets his ass beat and takes the 3rd fight right after. more important, he took his losses like a real champ.

i didnt say he was classy, he is what he is and he doesnt give a shit. But whats classy about MAB throwing punches at a press conference, puttin his fingers up or whatever, and then saying afterwards that he wants to be morales' friend but Morales is mean to him?
Morales "Hes a faggot, plain and simple"
Barrera "well, I want to be his friend, but hes so mean to me, I dont know why, blahblahblah"

Yeah, but Barrera will sock you dead in the face during press conferences and he'll foul you however he pleases if he's feeling a little ticked off at that very moment. All that is just straight up cold hearted gangstaness for you right there. :yep
not when you go to the press conferences and claim you accidentally did all that and that you want to be everyones friend....thats not gangsta

that's REAL bad blood right there. it's no secret that they hate each other even though Marco acts otherwise on certain interviews.
Marco made 100 excuses when he got his ass beat by Pac and avoided him as much as he could until now. there wont be any excuses now but im sure he will find one.

Barrera.
While Morales was the most entertaining fighter in boxing during this decade, I always liked Barrera's punching style better.

Where is popular JMM?
JMM is never popular in the level of MAB and Morales. If he is . . . the Morales fight could have happened and the MAB fight happened much much earllier. In fact he is the only dual title holder I knew who got stripped of his titles because of a failed bid in a mandatory fight. No promoter would pay him $50,000 for his mandatory fight . . . what does that says? :D

Philipinians? WTF is that?!!! :huh
If you are not sure of the word, you could have just left it out, and spared yourself of looking like a 13-year old ignorant idiot.:-(

Not so much anywhere. The brothers have never had the level of popularity that Barerra and Morales have had. People know who they are, but their fights have not been televised to the same extent. TV exposure plays into it alot
Promoters's problem dude.

You know it seems stupid to me to think this way but I've got to go with morrales......I think it was his first two fights with pac that did it for me. I think the way barrera almost seemed resigned to defeat before his fight with pac vs the way morrales gave it everything he had both times (not including the third fight cause I'll cut him some slack on that one) and in the end went out on his shield cemented him in my mind as the favourite between the two. Like I said if you consider both careers this may seem like a petty distinguishing factor given the amount of times both of these guys have gone to war. But its how i feel.

Morales is a friend of the Filipinos. He did two beer commercials w/ Pacquiao during his two visits w/ his wife in the Philippines. He loves the Philippines and he was mobbed by fans in posh mall in my place (Ayala Alabang).
Pinoys love him in that commercial when he said holding a bottle of San Miguel beer, "Wala kang katulad, Manny!" It means, "There's no one like you, Manny."
I think Pinoys find Barrera a nice guy, too. He hasn't said any trash words against Manny. Who knows, he might be invited to visit the Phils to do a beer commercial w/ Manny, Eric, and Freddie Roach.
pinoys love anybody with more money than them. Its just funny how during the trilogy, Morales was totally hated. He makes a cheese commercial and he could be the next best actor in the philippines.
Choosing between them is like choosing between your own children. I don't hate either, but I think I'd give the edge to Morales for immediately going for the rematch in Pac's prime. Compared to MAB totally dissappearing off the radar and not wanting an immediate rematch.
When it came to excuses..
MAB: I lost because of a forrest fire
Morales: I gave it my best shot
advantage: Morales
When it comes to people saving their asses from a complete annhilation:
MAB: His corner throws in the towel
Morales: Just elected to stay on the ground
advantage: even

I was a MAB fan until he did his best SPinks impression and ran from Juarez in the rematch . . .with his gloves taped up to his fingertips.
Shoulda rematched Pac years ago. . . waited until JMM earned the Pac rematch to take it.

just like it was real classy for Barrera to say this after the first fight with Morales, "Your champion is not good." He was referring to Morales after Morales came over and hugged him and tried to give him back the WBO belt he won that night.
And you have to remember the Barrera who ran after Juarez AFTER their fight had ended and started yelling crap to him. Too bad he didn't stand and fight like that. He sure is a classy gent, isn't he?
You also left out M.A.B. sucker-punching both Morales and McKinney at press conferences.
