I just watched the replay of the Winky fight and it was a God awful disgrace. . . most of the blame goes to Bernard. . . Manny Steward said it best when he said Bernard should keep his promis to his mother and just retire. . . PLEASE Bernard. . . retire already.

i think the fight with winky was just a classic case of styles make fights and it got ugly so i think he has one more left in him without a doubt but bhop should retire i think he has done all he can for the sport its time for someone else to step up :good
wow, no bias in the poll
I say one more fight. maybe rjj

when was the last time Hops was in an exciting, entertaining fight???
i think Hopkins has done enough...only a rematch with Jones would interest me...no need for Hopkins to mess with anymore of the young lions...

Don't retire until Calzaghe whoops your noob ass Bernard! You Da Man. Go go go!
I agree. Let The Pride of Wales take him out. :good

That shit's startin to sound like a seniors tour. I don't know, if B-Hop feels he can win who's to stop him from trying? I will say though that Winky fight SUCKED!!! It would seem too that the win over Wink would make a better exclamation point to the end of his career than a big fat L.

If he lost he should retire--but he won--let him keep going until someone whoops him.

from what i saw against Winky, Hopkins at this point gets beat up by Calzaghe and i don't want to see that...Hopkins should just go out on a winning note....

thats not the point. . . look at how he "won". It was downright horrible to watch and thats how he wants it.
His style is part of the problem in boxing.

I think theres no reason for Bernard to retire. He looked much better as in hbis last middleweight fights, was more active. But both of these man are so good defensive that there where not much manny entertaining moments because they cn avoid punches verry well. Styles makes fights. But dont forget tnhat there where 2 of the best boxers pound for pound in the ring. I would really like to see Hopkins fight the winner of Kessler vs. Calzaghe.

I think it is kind of impressive for him to be this old and to still be as competitive as he is. I think he should fight calzaghe im not saying he is going to win but i belive he as a chance

I paid to see it and enjoyed watching the throwback Hopkins demonstrate once more that he's willing to make it rough and do anything he has to in order to win.
I didn't reply to the idiot poll because the options were made by someone resembling the intellect of a three year old, angry at his mother.
Keep fighting, Hopkins.

to each his own I guess. . . if you found that garbage entertaining then God bless.
BTW, I was half joking with the poll options. . . lighten up my "boring fight" loving friend.

Right, but I ignored the half-joking idiot options... you know?

I watched the replay of that fight. Man Hopkins sucks now. I mean I cannot believe how he fights 1 OK fight against Tarver then the same shitty fight he fought against everyone else like Taylor.

Bernard is the greatest fighter of this generation. The man KO'd Glen Johnson, Tito, and De La Hoya. He also busted up "defensive genious" Winky Wright's eye on his way to winning an easy decision. He also is the only man to be a super unified champion(super unified is a term I made up for someone who holds the WBC,WBA,IBF, and WBO belts). I say he keeps fighting until Roy mans up and gives him a rematch(Roy gets his ass starched in this match). And can we please change this poll. It's completely disrespectfull to the legend that is Bernard Hopkins.

You can't even enjoy Bernard's fights anymore. He should retire, I'd hate to see him come out once again only to lose to someone like Calzag or Dawson.

Too bad, Bernard Hopkins is not going to retire any time soon. Hopkins is the greatest fighter since 1990 :)

I agree Bernard should retire. I mean Winky made him look old and washed up. It would be a shame for him to get beaten up to retirement.

Hops a G, just beat Pascal twice IMO, he should retire when he is no longer beating champions, until then why? Because you don't like his style? Too bad, a wins a win.
