Nice picks, mate. The bold ones in particular are gonna be intriuging contests for sure. I included Griffith-SRL in my list. Slight edge to Leonard on their respective best nights but he'd have to dig deep to prevail. I'd say his handspeed, movement and ring savvy will sway the championship rounds his way. Leonard: tight decision.
As for Robinson-Hearns, well barely any fighter in the history of the welterweight division would have the ability to outbox Hearns, as Leonard found out in the first fight Hearns was one helluva tricky assignment to figure out, by the time of the very later rounds Ray needed a stoppage. Enough said. Luckily he got it: closing the show well. Robinson would probably be installed as slight fave here but Hearns' ranginess, adaptibility and power make him a 'live' one for sure. Robbo's chin will pass the test though, close UD.
How do you see 'em going yourself?

Cheers.
I agree with you on those results.
My favourite fight of those would be Napoles-Gavilan, I think. Very heated, and I'd pick Napoles on account of superior balance and accurate return shots which would catch the wilder Gavilan in between flurries.

Leonard-Basilio * Shades of hellish Duran... only bigger and stronger.
Hearns-Walcott * It would look like a circus act -but I'd love to see if Walcott would make the doubters among us believe the hype...
Whitaker-Starling * For the purists. A duel of defensive capabilities
Burley-Walker * Burley put Elmer Ray to sleep and could handle large men. Walker could too, and was more orthodox than Burley. An interesting clash of similarities and dissimiliarities...
Ted Kid Lewis-Jimmy McLarnin * McLarnin was known as the "Hebrew Scourge" and unfortunately the "Jew Killer" for knocking out several name Jewish fighters of the day --Sid Terris, Joe Glick, Sergeant Sammy Baker, Al Singer-- before he retired Benny Leonard himself. Lewis was himself a Jew who could counter, throw long shots, and swarm like hell... I believe that he fought in every division from Bantam to Heavyweight, and was on his way to challenge Dempsey himself if he overcame Carpentier (but got KOd when he turned to the ref and got caught in round 1)... get this: Kid Lewis was also born in England. McLarnin was born in Ireland... we got a couple of grudges here!

Henry Armstrong-Shane Mosely Two smallish welters who willingly fought the best of their eras. Hank's rough pressure against Mosely's speed.
Jose Napoles- Mickey Walker. How would this one play out? In the Cokes fights, Napoles' skill and sharp reflexes are incredible...Napoles is however, very aggressive...it might not be wise to share personal space with the 'Toy Bulldog'. I'd be interested in reading opinions on this one.
Charley Burley-Kid Gavilan. A fight I go back and forth on...this week it's Gavilan!
Billy Graham- Ike Williams. The boxer against the lightweight with dynamite in his gloves.
Barney Ross- Pernell Whitaker. Ross' skill against the perplexing style of the southpaw 'Sweet Pea'.
Emile Griffith-Roberto Duran. Emile Griffith fought everyone in a brutal erea, logging more championship rounds than anyone in history. What happens when Duran calls him a 'maricon'? Can Duran back up the tough talk against one of the strongest and most skilled welterweights?
addendum: Stonehands, props on the Lewis/McLarnin match-up...damn, that's a good one.

Yeah I'd pick Napoles myself in that one. I rate him extremely highly: great fundamentals, silky smooth boxer and crisp accurate puncher who possessed great power. Highly watchable fighting style. Beautiful fighter in the purest sense.

Hearns-Gavilan (A repeat of Tommy-Leonard?)
Palomino-Cuevas (should’ve happened, I favour Carlos).
Napoles-Walker (Butter vs Bulldog sounds a nice tagline).
Turpin-Leonard (don’t mock, Randy’s jabbing, awkward, ‘chin under the shoulder’ style will give Ray fits).
Armstrong-Basilio (scheduled for 100 rounds)

Good stuff, conteh. Napoles-Walker would be a classic. I like your 2nd choice too.

Yeah, shame they didn’t get it on. It was mooted enough back in the day. I think Carlos’s sturdy beard would have withstood the early pressure and he’d have taken over in the second half of the fight. Forcing a late stoppage through a mixture of body attacks and Pipino’s fatigue.an Old Style','serif'] [/font]

Armstrong V Duran (A LOT of peoples dream fight, all out war, this was Henry`s best weight so this MUST be Roberto of Montreal or just before)
Robinson V Leonard (If it was in my power & I didnt make this fight, Id regret it forever)
Burley V Whitaker (Does Burley really deserve a shot at Robinson, we find out here against a master boxer that nobody has ever looked good against)
Benitez V Trinidad (Battle of PR, the classic attack v defence fight)
Hearns V Delahoya (Nobody has ever bombed out Oscar, can Tommy ?)

this was Henry`s best weight
Not really. Part of what makes Armstrong such a legend is the fact he made eighteen defences of the welterweight title even though he was better at lightweight. That was his best weight - not featherweight like some people will tell you, not in his prime.

Napoles moved in and out range extremely well. I have described him as a boxer on rollerskates as he was so smooth. Maybe thats slightly overexaggerating matters.
