Oscar De La Hoya is not only a great boxer, he’s a great businessman. He’s made a fortune in the boxing game and now he’s turning his sights to MMA. He and Golden Boy Promotions had previosuly been involved in talks with Affliction but nothing came of it. But now that Donald Trump is involved, my inside source tells me that Golden Boy is once again interested in a partnership and things are moving very quickly in that direction.

In fact the Golden Boy/Affliction partnership is what prompted Affliction to reschedule their upcoming event from October to January. The word right now is that they plan on presenting both MMA and boxing on the same card.

As my long time readers know, I don’t make this stuff up. My sources are always right on the money and you can take it to the bank that Affliction will be making the announcement next week.
