not bad, a tad dissapointed after all the talk and rumour. Probably more dangerous than james Toney to be honest, but nowhere near the same buzz. Also, not a big puncher, so lowers Davids risk factor right down.
Interesting that he aint rated by WBC who David has always been ranked by.

It's not an inspiring match up.
I want to see how Haye deals with Heavyweight power, so wanted Maskaev or someone of that ilk.

He had a draw with Ibragimov in only his 4th fight, Timor was 13-0 at the time. Aside form that there aint nothing special on there is there.

Johnson was hyped a few years back on these boards, but if he struggled with an OLD Bruce Seldon then he can't really be up to much...

i think over 3 rounds rahman and maskaev would offer a bigger text, but johnson will give haye at least 8-9 rounds of action i think.

I really like this fight. Kev is a good boxer and on the way up. This is a far better fight than some old peice of shit like Toney or Rahman.

Don't like it, because it will be slated by the yanks. Toney, Thompson or even Maskaev would have been better in terms of silencing the haters.

Seems ok to me, for a first fight (I know he fought Bonin but of course took the weight off again). He's been running his mouth but it's just part of the game.

I think Haye is not only trying to get a top 10 ranked opponent but he is also pushing for the biggest purse he can get, that's why he can't get Rahman or Maskaev signed, those guys won't come in for 20-30% of the purse.
So is HE a better fight then Toney, GazOC? :-(

Ryan Rhodes Vincent Vuma was supposed to be on the undercard but Vuma didnt accept the offer from hayemaker promotions. Ryan is still planning to fight on the undercard and I cant see it ebing a knockover job at this stage.
Craig McEwan was supposed to be fighting on maloney / VIP bills wasnt he? Although I dont think it was exclusive so feasible craig could.
Groves should make his debut?

This Johnson fella would be more suitable for Audley.

"David Haye will reveal his next opponent on Tuesday at the O2 Arena, where he will also take part in a public workout which his fans are invited to attend.
Haye, Adam Booth and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer will formally make the announcement in the 20,000 capacity South London arena where the former WBC/WBA/WBO cruiserweight champion will step in the ring for real on November 15.
Since winning the Battle of Britain with Enzo Maccarinelli in such a destructive fashion, just who Haye's next opponent would be has been one of the hottest topics in boxing.
With Haye contractually obliged to fight a top ten-ranked heavyweight, almost every fighter below has been mentioned as a contender at one stage or another.
See the latest Top Ten rankings from the governing bodies and have your guess below...

Not a bad choice of opponent but if rumours were true he was probably looking for a 'name' - someone that has been there but is not at the top of their game. Johnson's no mug from what I see and it will be a good fight should it come off. I'm happy as long as Haye puts on a good performance and carries on to fight decent opposistion.
I wouldn't jump the gun on Johnson. I don't think he'll be the opponent on November 15.
