from what i hear its a pick from these.
derrick gainer
alex arthur
david diaz
bobby pacquiao
antonio demarco
vicente escobar
jon thaxton
gethin
juri romanov
they are looking at fights that will push khan up the rankings, which would be the best opponent?

David Diaz would destory him. No way they put him in the ring with him

Diaz > Romanov > Thaxton
if khan beats any of these three he should gain the respect aswell as the ranking

i agree, i think gethin who holds the English belt would be good domestic fight and bobby pacquaio as an overseas opponent would a really good return, very limited but has a name

Definetly no one on that list. All are far too dangerous. Khan will want 7/8 soft non punching opponents to build his confidence back up and then we may start to see him fighting the Gethins and Gainers of the world.

gethin would be a sensible fight but like buncey said in his recent show it would probrably be some 1 like john simpson, steve foster, ricky burns

thaxton would be a winnable fight

For anyone but Khan.

Khan vs Thaxton is a 50-50 affair IMO
Out of that list I say Arthur, Diaz, Demarco and Romanov are way too dangerous. Especially when his confidence is fragile.
gethin won't push him up the rankings and is probably the most beatable as long as khan keeps his head. no way will they put him in with romanov or diaz next.
arthur could be a possibility if they want to take a risk whilst cashing in on a big domestic fight.

I doubt it would be anyone on that list apart from Derrick Gainer, which would be a decent choice.
They should just try to entice McAllister for the WBU belt, which Khan would hopefully dump directly after the fight.

Anyone not actually that bothered? i'm not. They had their chance to woo me by matching him competitively and in fights that mean something, instead they wasted my time then tried to rip me off and got chinned. I'm more interested in who John Murray is fighting next and so should any other true boxing fans.

Romanov - Thaxton - Arthur - Diaz would be a joke at this stage. They would all probably retire him.

vicente escobar
:rofl:rofl:rofl
Put him and Arthur in together in a must win for both men. It would be great to see Arthur redeem himself and end Khans career at the same time.

Obviously meant to be Escobedo, but still funny.
I think Derrick Gainer and Martin Gethin are the only two guys on that list that are realistic options for Khan's next fight. There's not a hope in hell of any of the other guys getting it.

Jeff, I take your point but I have paid good money to see Murray on several occasions and he has blown hot and cold so often that I just don't bother anymore.

Murray's inconsistent form is frustrating. I'd like to see him string together some good performances and wins. Now that he has the British Title hopefully we will start seeing the best of him.

Murray would beat Khan comfortably in my opinion.
Simpson would be a good fight, or a rematch with Willie Limond, thats what i would like to see, think both could beat Khan too.
Arthur and Romanov are too dangerous and would floor him again.
Realistic options for me would be Thaxton who has been after him for ages.

Yeah I would like to see that fight. Can't see it happening though as Gary Reid is one of those fighters who has done a lot better than his record suggest (exactly the opposite of what ****** would want to put Khan in with)
I'd like to see him fight Gethin or Murray, both I feel if they bought their "A" game could stalk Khan get close and break his heart and beat him.

What are you idiots on about??? Amir Khan is world class, once he has beaten all of the lightweights including a first round KO of Pacman, he should move to L/W and batter Hatton, maybe 2 round job. After that jump up again KO Calzaghe, and right after that Davie Haye. And lastly he will come into the ring with a Audrey Harrison "I believe" t-shirt.
What a fuckin pratt the guy is:lol:

Well according to Bradley Pryce's facebook status he cannot believe that Gavin Rees turned down a fight with Khan because he told ****** he thought he is too good for Khan.
Actually watching Pryce and Rees argue on facebook is quite amusing.
