"I said 'Dog C**t' and smashed my right hook into his face, he staggered and I followed with my left as he fell forward I gave him an uppercut, punching him that many times he was spitting tooth-chips. My hands were busted, I grabbed him by the back of his head and ran at the screws' box, smashing his face into it. He spun around to punch me and slipped in his own blood, falling back."

"A quick trip to the joint and I was healthy again, relatively safe and ready for another crack at the title."

"I just got sick of being society's boxing bag and started hitting back."

"I had to fight to get to where I am today. Everybody has struggles in their life, I know I had to fight twelve rounds to get my brain stable enough to write this book."

RAW$ DEAL

I READ A BOOK ON THE WEEKEND GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND FROM WAYNE McKAY…..

BY WAYNE McKAY – I rode around on a push-bike, ran and walked to book shops and libraries for two years researching on how to get my story out there. I got a business card from a little bookshop in Swan Hill and took it from there.

This is a true story based on Wayne McKay’s life of brutal bashings, hard crime, sexual abuse and gaol time. McKay retells detailed stories from his past life about being homeless and living on the streets of Perth, Western Australia. The system failing him, being moved from one detention centre to another and then entering one of the hardest prisons in Perth, Casurina.

“I said ‘Yeah boss’ and he walked off. I was alone for my first time in the big house, the concrete jungle, big Casablanca”.

“I met up with one of the hardest men in the Western Australian prison system, Brett Laverick”.

This is a man who had to fight to where he is today. He now lives in Geelong with his beautiful family doing what he loves best, being a family man. Wayne has been involved with the underprivileged youth of Geelong participating in the Torch program where he discovered a new sense of comfort and trust. He is an artist of music, poetry, tattoos and loves expressing himself through his paintings and CD recordings.

“I was going straight, living in a little town.. This is where I met Stuart Holt my first producer; he invited me to his recording studio at his house, called Shed Recordings. I walked away that day with my first recorded song Ashes to Ashes; it was the first song I had played on the radio”.

A job well done, keep soldiering on.

We all got demons.....its just only the famous people get to write books about them.....Paul made his own choice and nobody forced him into them.

He looked like he was having a good every day I saw him.

I don't think Paul made his own choice when he was sexually abused by a relative.

No way....not talking about that.....you know the things I was talking about.

I know people that are close to me that have had the same shit done to them...they still made choices after that event....Paul made his.

All I am saying is that we all have demons and all have a past to deal with some worse than others.....but it is no excuse.

If you are trying to say that bad event led to his life unfolding as it did then that is your own view and only Paul would know the real truth.

I dont know Paul enough to know the total truth but I did work the night life and saw him many many times over several years and that life he led he looked like he enjoyed it.

Ah yep, fair enough. I misinterpreted your post. I agree that people do make choices after terrible things have happened. There's a number of factors involved at the time that influence these decisions I guess.

Lets face it mate we all have a sub conscious mind that seams to dictate how we should go about things and what we find offensive.

Who programed our reactions?

Some people react to good and bad things in vastly different ways.

How is it that some people react to bad things in a positive way....I dont know....if its bad I react bad as most do.

All I know is life sux, you pay tax and than you die.....and on every second day its great.

This post makes no point at all

Gotta stop drinking :rofl

Spot on post that Ash , I went badly off the rails as a young man but i always remembered the advice my old Gramp told me when i was a young kid , he said when shit goes wrong deal with it , when you fuck up don't look to blame any other cunt just except YOU fucked up , we all make choices in life some good some not so good , im sick of hearing all these people looking to point the finger when they mess up , yea we've all sat in the pokie playing up but it was our OWN choices that got us there 9 times out of 10 in the first place, I aint done any REAL bird but what i have done changed me back into something i already was and not the wanker i was trying to be . Now one week to go and my first Granchild will be born , the advice of old Ted will be passed down to him thats for sure :good

Iceman - Richard Kuklinski

I think I seen some footage of him in ESB somewhere along the line and YUK'....I could not watch him nor could I read a book about his lifes killings. Once upon a time when I was looking for a book to read I stumbled across Ivan Milat's story, I have no interest in reading about sickening killings...But each to their own!

When I went over to Belfast. Trust me, that's watered down compared to the book. Not that the author tries to embellish the story in any way, he just tells it like it happened. Definitely get it, if you get the chance. It kept me glued to it.
