Hi Guys :)

Been a while since ive been on the forum, but i just had to come on for some advice..

I do a little bit of boxing so am used to taking a few punches, however last week at a nightclub somebody came from nowhere and punched me right on the temple, needless to say i have a massive black eye etc but thats not the worst of the problems..

I think I might have damaged my brain after getting hit… My short term memory is literally non existent, I put wrong words into sentences that don’t even make sence.. I had another one to say but I cant remember it:patsch ... Oh yeah i keep slurring my speech:think

Do i just have a slight concussion? or could it be more serious?

Did you go to a doctor? If its like what you describe get in to the doc fast. Not much else I can say.

Havent been to the doctor.. usually just try to let things clear up by themselves.. but if it dont get anybetter then i might have to go

When you start slurring, or forget things easily, then REST THAT MIND.
Read books, do a crossword, do some maths equations if you're good at it.
Don't take any more hits to the brain.

This is a serious reply, btw, it has happened to me and I read that somewhere and it helped.

thanks mate, the bruising is starting to go down now and its not quite as painful.. i leave it while and hopefully ill make a fully recovery :)

Also, achilles, that isn't really what he was looking for - easiest thing for the doc to say, if he doesn't know anything about boxing or having dealt with things like this before, is to tell him to stop boxing for 6 months or completely.

you need to see a Doctor right away I have the same problem along with a soctoma in my right eye, this is not from street fighting though and you were not hit with a fist that had a glove on it, so the shot may have done more damage than you think.
Go see a Dr. these are exactly the symptoms I had when I got hurt in sparring.

I think you need to stfu, usally that twiching is because your low on Vitamin B, I dont think you have been hit enough yet in all honesty

the safest thing u can do is ignore it.
i had a big lump on the side of my neck so i pretended it wasnt there.
im still living so u should give it a try
