i thought it was a routine defense for the hard hitting african (based in belgium).

i had never seen jackiewicz, but going by his record he looked like a european level gatekeeper.........a tough and capable guy who would lose to the top guns in europe.

guess i was wrong cause he seemed to have won the clearly!!

and bonsu was supposed to be groomed for a fight with andre berto.

and now this.

anyone seen this fight??? how good is jackiewicz?????

Seen the fight. Really entartaining scrap! Suprised with Pole's skills. Deserved the victory and the judge who scored it 114-113 was a bit off, it wasn't that close.

Bonsu a very good fighter, a powerful explosive puncher but his crude style was fitting Jackiewicz very well. Jackiewicz used his speed, movement, footwork and defence to slip or block most of Bonsu punches, who was clerly confused with his opponent tactic. Jackiewicz was landing the clearer punches, counterpunching very well for most of the fight. Bonsu had his moments and landed some heavy shots to the body later in the fight. I was imressed with Jackiewicz that night, props to the Pole who was a 4 to 1 underdog coming into the fight.

I actually thought Jackiewiecz had a fair chance in this fight, I would have only made him 11/4. I saw him KO Lazlo Komjathi recently and he looked good.

Jeez really surprising result. Never saw this coming. Pretty much a gimme fight but Bonsu needed taking down a peg or two.

Being a brawler, Jackson always had problems again slick boxer. The Pole probably did the fight of his life and deserved the title... But I heard that Jackson and all his crew were sick the day of the fight after eating at the hotel. Even if Jackson was never a great technician, he seemed weak and slow on the ring that night... After the first round, he said to his trainer that he had "no legs" and never really found it during the fight!
