Why do people keep saying that Floyd is the naturally bigger man? Floyd started his career at 130. Hatton started at 140 and couldn't even move up 1 weight class and stay after a gift decision vs Collazo. Just like when Floyd fought Oscar they kept saying Oscar was naturally bigger but Oscar started at 130 too.

In boxing it isn't meant to be taken entirely literally.
What it means here; Floyd does not struggle at Welter.
Ricky really does.

PBF is taller but hatton is the bigger man here. Hatton walks around at 170+ when not training. PBF is never more than 150.

Not to mention that Hatton will out weigh PBF on fight night whether the fight takes place at 140 or 147.

I don't think I've heard too many people proclaim that Mayweather is the bigger man here. Floyd is very small for the welterweight and jr. middleweight divisions. If he were to come down to a more natural weight I'm prety sure it would be within the 140 lb limit same as Hatton. But money isn't going to allow him to do that.
By the way De La Hoya also struggled to drain down to those smaller weights as his team intentionally kept his weight down to overpower smaller men, while Mayweather was a more natural 130 lb fighter. Plus being that he was at higher weights longer, and add the brief 160 lb stint, he was the much more natural 154 pounder, in turn making him the much bigger man when they met up.
The human body adjusts to the weight limits you set and it seems as if De Hoya's body and strength have settled nicely into the jr. middleweight limit. Read what the so called experts are writing about Floyd being bigger than Hatton. Hatton had trouble at 147 because he simply is not as good as Floyd and cant move up. When the day comes that he can't make 140 anymore he better retire. I agree with your points about Oscar except him being a natural at 154. I think he never should've went past 147. The first fight he had with Shane at 147 will always be a classic!

Floys is naturally bigger- when you see them stand next to each other, you'll see the size difference. Floyd is taller and has more muscle. Hatton walks around at 170 because he gets fat. When he's training for a fight he looks like a skinny little kid.

Floyd has height and reach advantages but certainly isn't the bigger man. Hattons frame is significantly bigger.

I think you can see in Floyds arm and ankle that he isn't particularly big boned. Plus he has girls hands. Watch the HBO interview with him and Gatti and where as he looks like a well muscled individual his hands are pathetic. Floyds left side shows how he can look muscled and quite big but his right side hits an angle that shows he isn't a particularly large individual.
